Westlight

One of my favorite rooftop bar in NYC. Located inside the William Vale hotel. Has picture perfect view of the skyline of Manhatten. Always is greeted with a smile when I walk in. Cocktails are always great and delicious. Have tried figure of speech, fuji flight, dark and spritz, spicy sunset, and the black manhatten. The snacking menu is great (maybe slightly on the more expensive side) but great to munch on. The crispy Brussels sprouts and herb fries are my favorites so far. Definitely a go to place for a nice night out or to take visiting friends and family. Would recommend getting a reservation to guarantee a seat.

Such an amazing place to watch a sunset. Main terrace bar has amazing views, and then you can pop upstairs periodically for almost 360 panoramas. We were served by Stephanie, who was so so so great. Funny, human, personable, relatable - absolutely who you want to be having serve you on a last night in this incredible city.

Went with a friend late on a Saturday night without a reservation. While there was a wait to be seated, the hostess was friendly and was able to help as quickly as possible. Drinks and food were good, but the location is known for its views which don’t disappoint. They have outdoor seating gear round (with heaters/a removable encasement set up). It’s pricey, but worth going if you’re looking for a great view and atmosphere.

The big standout is the view you get. Gorgeous view of New York. The food was fine. My party all had 3 burgers and a coke. The burgers were pretty much what you expect a burger would taste like it's fine little overpriced in my opinion. The Coke was good it was a bottled brand made with cane sugar. The service was friendly and accommodating. We came in without a reservation but they were able to fit us in. The only catch about that was we were only allowed an hour to eat. Which worked out for us. I do think we came at the right time around 4 to 5 pm because after our hour the server mentioned we could stay a little longer they haven't asked for us to leave. Overall it's a great spot for groups, a date, or for friends/family visiting out of state like me because that view was awesome, especially around sunset. Would recommend calling ahead for a reservation.

Westlight in Brooklyn exceeded all my expectations and provided a great evening experience. The moment I stepped onto the rooftop, I was greeted with incredible views. The panoramic skyline of the city, paired with the mesmerizing sunset, created a breathtaking backdrop that truly elevated the entire atmosphere. The drinks at Westlight were also great. The carefully curated cocktail menu offers a delightful array of options to cater to all preferences. The attentive and friendly staff also contribute to the overall positive experience. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations made the visit even more enjoyable.

Westlight is a great place for fun with friends, date night, or drinks with a view. I recommend coming during the sunset, as the view outside it beautiful, even in the rain. The dry aged beef burger ($22) was delicious, and so were the duck carnitas tacos (which were massive and filling, also $22). The food portions are large and filling. The atmosphere is loud inside. The cocktails tend to be on the sweeter side and quite strong (about $20 each. The Corpse reviver #2 was sweet. The southside cocktail was good and quite strong as well). Expensive, but you're paying for the view and good food. It's also a fun place to grab a drink in the evening and enjoy the Manhattan view, on a night out.
