El Beit Cafe

The staff is incredibly welcoming and the food and coffee is fantastic. I had an egg and cheese sandwich on a brioche bun that was like the opening up of a delicate flower when you unfurled the foil and wax paper wrapping. The atmosphere, the offerings - all top notch. I highly recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed.

This is my 2nd home. It’s simply the best black coffee and cold brew I’ve ever had. It’s fruity and chocolatey and strong and I drink it almost daily and don’t regret it. The baristas have kept me sane during the pandemic- they’re all lovely and work hard to make this place a special small business. Please don’t go to St@rb^ck$.

Having been there a number of times, I am happy to recommend Cafe Beit. Good coffee, pastries and a terrific person at the window who engages you and makes going there fun. I see people stopping by to say hello. Nice quiet open courtyard in the back with socially distanced tables and quiet after the intensity of Bedford Street. I have not used it but there is an enclosed section in the back for inclement weather. In one visit I had excellent latte and a very good ham and cheese croissant ($10). On another had a good Earl Grey tea with steamed milk and quiche (a little over $10). Definitely looking forward to coming back to try more of their offerings.

Good god, that egg on brioche is good. Fluffy, soufflé style egg- I got the version with spinach and mushroom. Brioche had some crunchy onions on top a la onion rolls. Drip coffee is strong in the best way. Ultimate hangover helper. Also, both of the people who took care of me there were very, very nice. This visit turned my morning around.
