Bar Lunatico

Great music in a great venue. We dropped a pretty penny for a special occasion but didn’t regret a single cent. We tried their mezcals with gusano (worm) salt and oranges, the hummus with warm pita, two cocktails, the caesar salad, and a few of their small plates. Everything came out quickly, the cocktails were top notch (probably our favorite cocktails in Bedstuy). Get there at least an hour before music starts if you want to get a good seat!

what a treat! a neighborhood spot in bed stuy. whoever was on staff the night of 10/26 when yasser tejeda performed was 100/100 regarding service, hospitality, and good vibes. the staff seemed to have chemistry and enjoy themselves while also providing a great experience, which in turn feeds a good vibe for all. drinks are also lovely.

This place will be looked back on as a legendary place for music. The owner moves among the crowd and the music is ALWAYS incredible. I’d heard about it from so many people and when I went it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Go there and have a blast, extra credit if you tell Richard that Sonny sent you. He won’t give you anything, but will probably say something cool and laidback. Haha

An absolute gem of a place, I'm so glad it's in NYC. Live music, good food, great ambience. Narrow but lively space. This is one of those places that reminds you why it's so special to live in (or visit) NYC. My issue is the staff can be a little controlling and on edge. They should relax, let things flow. Demanding credit cards when putting in an order, telling people where to sit when the place is empty, it's a little much. Also, QR codes make it hard to browse a menu. All in all a great, great place.

Fantastic vibe. A musician's bar owned and operated by musicians. I arrived at the end of the first set of a jazz trio, and was given a spot to stand while patrons left, allowing myself and others to sit and enjoy the second set. This music positive culture is a boon, fostered by the owners. I recommend bringing cash if you choose to tip the night's entertainment.

Overall rating: 4.7 I really enjoyed this place! I went solo so I was lucky enough to get the last spot at the bar right before the music started. I don’t remember what I ordered, but it was very good! I don’t see it on the menu anymore, so it might be a seasonal dish. The vibe is really fun & great. My two areas that doesn’t give it a full 5-star is that 1) the old fashioned was not good. & 2) not the best spot for solo. I’d definitely come back with friends or a cute date spot. Highly recommend! 🎶

A true hidden gem! We came here at the advice of a friend and had the best evening! We arrived 90 minutes before the live music was set to start and got great seats at the end of the bar with a clear view of the stage. Between drinks and coursing out our meal we were eating and drinking right up to the end of the bands first set. The cocktails were delicious and the service was top notch. We also enjoyed the hummus appetizer. Highly recommend the lamb Kafta. The mushroom leek polenta dish was also quite nice for such a cold night. We split the date cake and rice pudding desserts. Both were yummy. If you are looking for a nice night out, this is the spot.
