I always struggle to find pies like my family made growing up. After finding Damascus Bread & Pastry shop, I won’t anymore. The pies are incredible and remind me of what my family always made. The spinach pies and lahm bi ajeen were particularly great. I can’t wait to go back and get more!

If you are ever in Brooklyn Heights, a visit to this place is definitely a must. Their chicken pie is amazing, and their cheese kanafe is great for dessert. The staffs are usually friendly and helpful.

One of my favorite of all time places in Cobble Hill. I have been going for many years, the food is delicious (The lentil soup and Hummus and the desserts are my favorites!) and you will witness the owners dazzle you with their math skills and ring you up by adding your items in their heads:)

A small shop with a surprisingly large selection of Middle Eastern specialties. Delicious baked items. Dates, spices, cheeses and sweets.

Cute little halal Syrian deli. We were passing by the neighborhood and I'm glad we stopped by to check the store. We bought several of their meat and chicken pies and they were all delicious. Tahini bread was a bit dryer than I'm used to but still very tasty. Stop by here if you need a quick bite to go.

This place is fabulous and fresh! We picked up a tray of baked kibbeh, hummus and muhamara from the refrigerator to take home for lunch. This was paired with a fresh cheese manushe and baked spinach pies (not phyllo). This place is a middle eastern staple. I will be back next week for their sweets!!
