Great food, great service, and highly affordable prices in a cozy atmosphere.
I was already a huge fan of La Superior, and the apple does not fall far from the tree! They offer a broader menu of excellent tacos and entrees.

Really amazing tacos! The duck carnitas, the Al pastor, the brisket taco were our favorites. We also ordered a side of blistered scallions, highly recommend to add it to your tacos.
The wait staff were super friendly and attentive.
Definitely will want to return for another round!

Some of the best tacos to ever touch my mouth. I got the pastor, asada, and carnitas tacos, and all of them were amazing. I also got the excellent rice and beans and my companion enjoyed her chilaquiles. The service was also attentive and super friendly. This may be the most underrated restaurant ever! Don't pass it by.

We were walking through the neighborhood starving. Mateo stepped out and asked us to sit. Great vibes, better food, love the stickers and graffiti - and Mateo took great care of us. Best meal in NYC. Will be back when we’re back. 10/10

This is one of my go-to places and by and far the best Mexican food in all of NYC. It’s affordable, has great happy hour deals, and the food is delicious.
Highlights include the queso Fundido (get it with the peppers), tacos (specifically fried shrimp, the peppers + potato’s, Al pastor), Elote, and Alambres. Margarita with Tamarind is also an amazing Marg with stellar tequila.
Note that the menu is VERY literal. So if you see a taco say it just has “steak” it will be just steak, no addt’l add ins.
