The food was delicious. The ambiance is soulful, they have salsa playing on the radio, the lights are dimmed nicely, the staff is attentive and attractive as well. The food portions are large enough to share and there tapas plates are delicious. Its chill, not pretentious and the dinner with drinks was about $50 per person which is well worth it for the food and atmosphere without having to go into the city. Great for taking friends, groups or a date. I went with my family and 1 yo daughter and was surprised to see other children there. We went early (6p), but I can see myself taking my wife back here for a romantic night out as well. A young local crowd was starting to come in as we were leaving. Had a nice time, thanks.

I have been to this place for brunch and dinner. Brunch is outrageous and the dinners never let you down. I have had basically everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. From the skirt steak to the paella and all the tapas. Definitely a place you want to try! worth the money! The drinks are to die for, mango martinis bloody Mary's and mojito's

If I had to use one word to describe this restaurant it would be overpriced. I went two times with a groupon. The first time we had paella and it was soupy. The second time was far worse. We ordered several appetizers which were tiny in size. I had what was by far the worst thing I've ever had in a restaurant, an inedible burnt octopus tentacle. It was literally charred and tasted like pure carcinogens. I had to throw it out. The appetizers are priced like entrees. The music is loud and overwhelming. I would say the only thing the restaurant has going for it is a nice clean atmosphere. It's just a shame the food is horrible. They seriously need to get a new menu and change their pricing structure.

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and were beyond pleased with the delicious food and cocktails! The service was spot on and that is definitely crucial especially for a celebratory meal. As soon as we stepped in, the romantic ambiance set the tone for an amazing dinner ahead. I am thrilled to have found a nice 'Manhattan-chic' date night restaurant right in the neighborhood :) I shall return REAL soon!!

I've read all the reviews here....and I also understand people have different tastes.....but when I read 1 or 2 star reviews of Salud BKLYN....I wonder if they are just hell bent on trying to discredit the establishment or just flat out do not get out enough.........There is no way in this lifetime or in this world that this classy place is NOT at the very least 4-5 stars! MY vote is 5 stars. And being that I have been there 4 times now (within the last 6 weeks)...the consistency of the food has been......well deliciously consistent!! The tapas menu is both extensive and varied..and the plates themselves are NOT small.. The lobster tacos are both original and mouth watering delicious. And guess what....they use LOBSTER !!!! The skirt steak has been cooked to perfection each and every time myself and any guests we've taken there have ordered it. Side order of yucca fries.... Abundance does not make a great restaurant.....it is all about quality. Or just go to Charlie Browns. The grilled pork chop (Chuleta Criolla) with sweet plantains and rice and beans is off the chart. Oh and did I add ABUNDANT. Difference here it is abundantly delicious !!!! The Dry Aged NY Strip steak is a marathon of non stop mouth watering flavor. Comes with Crispy potatoes.... The Crispy Lollipops with Iberian sausage and cheese (Chupachup de Chorizo) explode with flavor in your mouth The drinks are made very well....very very well. Mojitos are sick....!! I have no reason to post these words.....I am no relative nor a friend of the owner of this establishment (who by the way is a gem himself)....other than the fact that I am just stating the facts and my experiences.....along with the same feelings about any people we have dined there with.... His care for the kitchen and all the guests that walk through his portals...are evidenced by his attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Personality plus and he will make you feel welcomed and comfortable each and every time your decide to dine there. If you haven't been there yet..just go. You WILL rave!!! Oh and by the way...Live Cuban Jazz on Friday evenings!!! Foody G.
