I had to remove a star from my last review. Recently, a big and tall bartender told me that I’m “screaming at him” when I asked for drinks. Well, guy, I don’t scream, but it was loud in there and my voice does carry a little. He also demanded immediate payment for 2 drinks, as if me and my friend were gonna run out on him. His social skills suck. Better off to have the young, pretty gals offer services here, instead of this rude baboon!

Fantastic lounge/bar/restaurant in the heart of Bay Ridge on 3rd Avenue. Proprietor Simon is a fixture in the neighborhood since making his way to Brooklyn from Ireland decades ago. Great place to sit outside to have a drink or two and perhaps smoke a cigar (there's a humidor a few doors down). Standouts on the menu include absolutely delicious skirt steak skewers served with Peter Luger dipping sauce and off-menu (🤫) chicken dumplings with thai chili sauce. Amenities include cozy couches to sink into, a fireplace, eclectic artwork, varied entertainment events like trivia and live music along with sports broadcasts, as well as good company every time I'm there. Highly recommended for date night or to watch the game.
