Obviously atmosphere and service are graded on a hole-in-the-wall curve. But the food doesn't need any caveats. Gotta order from the Sichuan menu: tea-smoked duck is as good as any duck anywhere, pumpkin soup, mapo fish, tripe, hotpot, lamb are all great. From Am-Asian standards, scallion pancake (eat immediately!) and vegetable chow fun are fantastic. It's mostly beautifully presented too. Maybe this place'll never have lines out the door, but it deserves to.

Incredible food and service! Delicious options, including for vegans!!! I had the mapo tofu, mung bean noodles, eggplant, and green beans and tofu as a vegan! Super friendly and prompt staff and very clean! Will be back soon for more tasty and authentic Sichuanese food!

I'm not Asian so I'm not going to claim that it's "authentic Sichuan". However I did live in the far east for several years so I can tell the difference between good Chinese food and PF Chang's. What I can say is that I've ordered Chinese food from all over Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and Grand Sichuan is consistently the best I've found. I was introduced to the brick-and-mortar restaurant on 85th Street by a Chinese friend who was a seafood purveyor to restaurants all over the five boroughs. Their menu knocked me out so I was very pleased to find them Grubhub during the pandemic. Since then I've remained a loyal customer. The food is flavorful, consistently fresh and different from standard issue Chinese delivery. Even their brown rice is unlike other Chinese restaurants.

Came here for lunch with my buddy. It was a Wednesday so not packed but a few other tables were full. We had wonton soup, shared the shrimp wonton in hot oil and the dry cumin beef and salt and pepper squid. This place had been talked up to me for a while and didn’t disappoint. The soup and wontons were solid but nothing crazy. The squid was better than I thought it’d be. Didn’t taste frozen, even if it was, and they didn’t deep fry the hell out of it to cover anything up. The dry cumin beef was killer. Would order again. Def want to go back with more people to get more food

Can't believe there's a Sichuan restaurant in Bay Ridge. This restaurant is amazing! Try the red cooked pork belly and the dan dan noodles. I can't recommend this place enough!

Absolutely delicious. Had the pork soup dumplings, wonton in red oil, mapo tofu, dan dan noodle, twice cook pork and the cold beef trip salad. I recommend all of this. Everything was perfectly spicy and it came out super quick. Make sure to ask for extra chilli oil 😈😈

Best Chinese in Brooklyn. Some of it is quite spicy but it is possible to order more moderately spiced dishes too. Love the sweet and sour crispy fish which is vasy superior to any sweet and sour dish you've had before. Also good: the dandan noodles, the pork and pickled cabbage soup, the smoked tea duck, and much more. We didn't like the hot pot but hot pot devotees may be fine. Be warned the half-spicy hot pot is still pretty spicy. Update 2022 Sept. The above was true pre-pandemic. We've been there several times recently and the food has changed, and not for the better. Several dishes were poorly prepared. The staff were noisy and rude on this last visit. We're sorry, because they were a great restaurant, but no more. Time to find another Chinese restaurant of quality.

One of my favorite take out/delivery places. Be sure to order their fish&tofu, string beans that have wonderful bits of pork, and their fried beef strips that have the perfect balance of spices.
