This has been my favorite restaurant in NYC through all of its iterations - the food is great, the owners are great, and there is so much care and attention poured into every dish. Ignore the negative reviews - if you want free breadsticks go to Olive Garden. If you want the best homemade pasta you're going to find in the city (especially at this price point !) go to Nicandra's.

This is the best pasta place in the area hands down. The price point is extremely affordable for such a quality selection of different pastas. The staff is super sweet. It is takeout which is a bummer but you can sit there and enjoy some of the best Italian food around.

Had the best experience today at Nicandra’s! I don’t ever leave reviews so that ought to tell you everything!! Everything from the service to the homemade pasta was exceptional. You get exquisite pasta with a comforting ambience that will leave you wanting to come back!

Nicandra's reminds me of this little place in Rome that specializes in takeout pasta. They do a great job of keeping the menu simple. I first started off with the ribs which are a signature dish here. Then I went with the fettuccine ragu and pecorino. Finished off my night with a creme brulee (chef's kiss). As I said, pretty straightforward, simple, fresh pasta. I am definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu.

This is hands down the best handmade pasta joint you’ll find for many blocks. Dreamy textures and beautiful flavors, and the couple that run it are the best. Always welcoming, always prompt, you feel at home with them. Their new grab-n-go menu is a true steal at just $13, the prices went down but the quality and quantity are the same! Get it while you can!!!

I really enjoyed the ribs for starters. Fell right off the bone! Also, the pasta was refreshing and experimental with different flavors. Squid ink pasta was the move. If you want to drink you'll need to visit a bodega and BYOB.

Nicandras has been a slice of heaven during covid insanity! When Covid started we got dinner for takeout with low expectations on the quality when it came home but we’ve been constantly blown away by the food the Chef creates! Every dish is the best dish and you cannot go wrong with whatever you order! This is hands down our favorite restaurant in Bushwick maybe even beyond!!

This place BOYB! The pasta is to die for! Absolutely delicious! You can truly taste how fresh the pasta is. I ordered the squid ink pasta and I loved it! Can't wait to eat there again, because it was amazing!

Small space but gives you a personal service like a somewhat one to one feel to it. Food is genuinely tasteful and authentic. Reservation is a must!

This place is amazing been here 4 times already and the food tastes better every single time. The service is awesome, the quality of the food is mazing, the prices are just ok for the quality of the food; the place itself is very chilly and relaxing, just waiting for them to get their alcohol license and I’ll be there with my partner every weekend. Love this place.
