Jimmy's Famous Heros

I have eaten a lot of sandwiches in my day, but I have to say the sandwich I just ordered from Jimmy’s was shockingly better than any other sandwich I have eaten in NYC before. Most sandwiches are dry and salty and it’s kind of a chore of eating them, so I usually only eat them to stay full throughout the day, not really because I enjoy them. This sandwich was very moist, it was easy to eat; it had a delicious homemade flavor. The chicken cutlet was fresh tasting, not dried out or old like the usual. The sauces added moisture and distinct flavor to the sandwich. The bread was fresh. It’s honestly everything I could ask for in sandwich. The women working the front counter were also extremely nice which is even rarer in NYC than a sandwich which doesn’t feel like eating sand with a side of salty meat. There’s so much hype found in restaurant review ratings where I am constantly underwhelmed but this is an actual gem of NYC. 5 stars ⭐️

Victor and his staff were so welcoming and helpful. We loved the whole experience. Cannoli was delicious. My family tried the original Italian, the spicy Italian, the chicken cutlet with garlic aioli, and the BLT. The sub rolls were the perfect texture of chewy and soft. I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Went here with my boyfriend after hearing about the hype & im happy to announce that they did not disappoint! The bread was so incredibly fresh & delicious (literally reminded me of the bread from cartoons). My boyfriend got a chicken cutlet sandwich & I got a cheese hero with the works. The only downside was that the grill was closed so my bf couldn’t get his hero toasted but the food was delicious nonetheless. Will probably order from here since they have it on GrubHub. Update: Have had delivery & it’s really good except for the one time they accidentally added onions

New review: The man who works there is very nice, down to earth and humble, took my brother here to eat, because he has not eaten here yet, and was greeted with the best services 💖 Thank you for the sandwich, macaroni and potato salad. It was all delicious. 👌🏼 Old review: My mother and I came here during the summer, My mother knew Jimmy and wanted to come since best its been years since she has been here. My mother says the sandwiches are just as they were back in days. Best hero's sandwiches in town!

I come here all the way from Hoboken to enjoy the best there is in all of Brooklyn. Jimmy’s is a true Brooklyn staple and the quality of every little ingredient is consistent year round. If you want to have the best sandwich of your life come here! Also, Jimmy is a class act gentleman, cheers to him!

Literally been living in this neighborhood for like 25 years, and never noticed this little place. However, lately they got some publicity and after checking out their reviews we decided to give this place a try…boy were we missing out! Amazing sandwiches, probably best we had. Both, me and the wife and the kids agreed. The sandwiches are not cheap but they are big, we had 2 and shared between the 4 of us and we had enough for lunch. Great place, will definitely be back soon 👍🏻 staff were professional and friendly

Had an excellent experience here. Heard all about this place from the Internet and stopped on our way to the beach. Ordered the fried eggplant they cooked it up fresh right in front of us and it was the best sandwich we’ve ever had. Connoli was great too. Excellence service. service talk about a sandwich artist! Definitely worth trekking down there unassuming chill vibes best sandwich you’ll have all year.
