Metropolitan

I know metropolitan is a staple of the gay community in Williamsburg. That being said, every time the female bouncer is working is a problem. She used to reject my friends because they were trans and didn’t have a current ID because the laws do not allow them to have their actual gender on their ID cards. If those are your rules that’s fine but she is the only one who is rude and making up her own rules. She is rude to the vast majority of guests. If the idea is to make money and be accommodating then she is the outlier. Girl retire, you have out stayed your welcome

My friend's coat got stolen here in even though we paid and tipped the coat check. Tonight was New Years and the middle aged lesbian lady and gay manager stopped us from comming in because I mentioned I'd had one drink elsewhere and was tipsy, Objectively we were less intoxicated than most of the people there. No wonder gay bars are going extinct!

I love the Metro because my friends love it. The patio is great and it’s wonderful to be out and about again. There’s one bartender in particular that could stand to be a bit more pleasant when dealing with anyone other than masculine presenting, cis white men. If I, as a non-gender conforming person of color should dare to ask a question about bar service (after repeatedly feeling overlooked) wouldn’t it be reasonable to be answered politely? Kick the attitude and remember that you’re serving other queer folks who are nothing but kind and waiting patiently for their first drink of the evening. I’ve been in the service industry for 15 years myself and it’s really not that hard to be a kind person.
