Sunset Bagels

The food here is good but the probability of you getting what you ordered is slim to none. I use to go here for lunch every day but got tired of getting the wrong order. Either the girls up front are taking the order down wrong or there’s a communication issue with the chefs because I was given the wrong order 4 days in a row! That’s when I decided To find a new lunch spot. Bummer cause the food is tasty but not worth it to be paying and eating something I didn’t order on a daily basis!

On 5th Avenue in Sunset park with a Chinese owner and staff had business black t shirts and no outlandish outfits and who were so efficient and courteous. Wanted a bagel and the bagel was tasty with cream cheese. In NYC it's called a "Smear"! Place was crowded and decent seating area, but oh so on my list if the occasion arises to be in the area again. Little gems are in my black book.

I’ve been ordering from this place ever since it opened. And it’s sad to say that as of lately the food has gotten so terrible.I ordered a 49st Mexican Panini. The chicken I got not only was WAYYYY over cooked but it felt like plastic in my mouth. As if it was cooked from earlier in the day and just reheated. Even the avocado was brown! This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with something like this. It’s either the order is wrong and I have to return it or the food just isn’t to expectations(freshness). In the past few months I’ve either sent back food and had them “fix it” only for the food they send to either be wrong or just as horrible. At this point I’d much rather order from sunset dinner. It’s a shame what this place has come to. I don’t even want a refund or for someone to change my order. Just want to warn everyone considering to order from here, not to waste their time. It’s a huge hit or miss with them.

This place has the food so fresh so tasty so good words can’t even express what I want to say about it trust me I know about food and this here there really doing there best to put a smile on your face and your taste buds oh man it’s like the food is made with love and very clean environment friendly staff it’s like being home here and everything you order is guaranteed to be fresh and made with love I know that for a fact there are many places that don’t even care about your feedback but at sunset bagels they DO CARE trust me customer satisfaction is there number one priority as well as there cleanliness and there staff so friendly and polite I would come here and eat every day I love sunset bagels
