Greens & Ackerman Bakery

Horrible experience!! They shipped out my perishable items late and as of this writing, hasn't arrived. Called Greens and spoke with the Ackerman family ownership multiple times and emailed them a half dozen times and got no where. They don't respond and use caller ID so once they recognize your phone number, they intentionally avoid your calls. This is obviously a common occurrence now that I read all the other similar negative reviews. There attitude was despicable and acted like they could care less that my $150.00 order was lost or delayed or my event ruined. Based on my experience and obviously many others, you will regret using this bakery.

I ordered a honey cake and round challah on Sep 2, and paid for UPS next day air. Today is Sep 5 and I have yet to receive my order. I sent two emails and left a voice message and this issue has not been resolved. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service provided by Green’s Bakery. I will certainly not be purchasing anything from this bakery in the future.

I purchased a chocolate babka at my specialty grocer a couple of months ago and we liked it. This month, the loaf is much denser on the chocolate filling. Actually, too much so. And I love chocolate! We could only eat a very little bit at a time. On my last trip to the grocery, they only had cinnamon and I gave it a try thinking it may be lighter on the filling. But it's the same. Too dense for my taste. My uncle was a European Jewish baker so I had my fill of babka. It was lighter in filling but welll distributed and nice crumbs on top. Hope they correct this soon, otherwise I would give it a better rating.
