Taqueriala Placita Puebla

La Placita is my go to Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. If I am ever craving some authentic tacos, this is the spot to go to. I just have a few tiny issues with this spot that may be one for you as well. •They do no what so ever take any sort of card payments. Which is frustrating when you don't wanna go next door and use the sketchy ATM in there. •The older lady who I'm assuming is like the owner or manager or yanno whatever she is has wicked mood swings. Some days she is kind and warm and others she'll be kinda rushy and irritated so you never know what you're going to get with her. •The place is small & their bathroom is even smaller. So if you have children be cautious and if you have a baby be prepared to change them on your lap or your stroller. •Also their platos tipicos are always a gamble which is why I stick to tacos or burritos here. With their dishes you never know if they're gonna be mediocre or out of the park, so yeah. Still, for tacos, burritos & tostadas this is the place to go.

Honestly, we were very desperate when we went here or we wanted to have that authentic New York experience where we get sick eating at a cheap Mexican place. We were disappointed on that count and the burritos actually tasted good, spicy, flavorful and the people were really nice too. The place was pretty clean. A major plus was that we did not have to go to the bathroom any more than normal!

Their nachos are plain with just 3 ingredients, in which I could’ve just made at home, however I was looking forward to som real nachos. I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. When I complained and asked to get a replacement the woman said “and what do you want me to do about it? So then you should have made it at home.” On the menu it did not say what were on the nachos, so maybe I should have asked. Nachos had only tortilla (about 6 pieces), beans, meat and cheese. Typical nachos have sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños. Customer service laughed in my face and refused to help me. Will never be eating from this restaurant again.

Terrible Horchata. It tasted terrible and watered down. I ordered 2 with a bunch of food and they were large size. Each Large size is about 5 dollars each. When they both came they were watered down. The color was off. No flavor. Overall Disgusting. I had to pour it out and then put water in my damn cups. Im never ordering that from here again. You would think im literally paying 10 dollars for 2 cups of this drink and they give it to me tasting like this. Never again.
