The Buffalo Tavern

I was in town visiting family, and due to flights I was on my own for the last night meaning I needed somewhere to grab dinner on a Monday night. I wasn't feeling any of the chain establishments on Roosevelt and several other places I wanted to go weren't open, so I decided to give the Buffalo a try. Menu looked pretty decent but opted for "Taco Monday" tacos which were a bit different (the shells seemed like deep fried pita?), But extremely large and filling. I got two, but honestly could have got away with just doing one I think.

We went yesterday on Prime Rib special night. We had The King Cut prime rib with baked potato, beef nachos. The prime rib melted in my mouth seriously one of the best I had. Great service and cold Guinness. Fiancée had the Tavern punch drink and said it was delicious. The outside of the building may make you think twice about going in ,GO IN. Plenty of seats, good music, friendly clean atmosphere.

I have ordered from the Buffalo hundreds of times. Which is why I recommend them over and over to my out of town guests, however this time I was totally disappointed. I ordered the new grinder sandwich and was excited, when it arrived it was cold, the meat was cut diagonal but the bread was cut across. The fries was cold and the meat still had paper around the rim. O also order wings, which were burnt. I think it will be a while before I order from them again.
