Shari's Cafe And Pies

I had breakfast and it was decent. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. An added bonus... apparently Wednesday is free pie day. So we each got a free piece of pie to take home. The peach pie was delicious, not too sweet and the peaches were not mushy. It was just right. Overall the place seemed clean, but they seriously need to steam clean their carpet. I can't believe they let it get that bad.

The quantity and quality of food is worth the money. You'll probably leave with leftovers. Unless you're like me and just devour everything in front of you. I love the atmosphere, I love the hospitality the waiters and waitresses give me. I totally suggest this restaurant. Bring the family and have a great meal, and make another family moment you won't forget!!!

Service was just ok. Only one waitress. It was later ,around 8.30 pm. Baked potato soup was warm, chunks of potato were way to chewy. Tomato soup was not even warm, sent back to reheat. Apples in dutch apple pie were not completely cooked. Just a bad experience in all aspects. Our waitress was very polite and nice.

I was in on May 19th. I ordered the Philly prime rib dip and my companion had the t bone steak. My sandwich had one thin slice of beef that was cold, chunks of barely grilled onion and Swiss cheese. It was accompanied by a few overcooked cold French fries. The tar tar sauce was outstanding! ( for the fries). My companions t- bone was undercooked and loaded with gristle. Finally, we ordered a piece of pie to take for our roommate at home. It was the tiniest slice of pie I've ever seen!!! The waitress was nice. The restaurant was run down and the bathroom was filthy with a rotten smell! I won't go into another Shari's ever! This just proves that the life of the restaurant chain had its day in the 70's and 80's but is now OVER!

Terrible food, slow service. We've always enjoyed Shari's and we were excited to have lunch after not being able to cross the border from Canada for the last couple of years. Got seated right away, but the waitress was slow in approaching our table and taking our order. My favourite item on the menu the crepes were no longer available. I also enjoy the beef dip but was disappointed the beef was cut into huge chunks and was very fatty. Au jus was flavourless Hubby had a clubhouse that was also not very appetizing. It will be a long time if we ever try Shari's again. ☹️

Late brunch time, ordered a Belgian waffle, 2 eggs and bacon. It took a long time to get my food, easily 30 minutes. The waffle was terrible, fake butter, the eggs and bacon good. The place was quite dirty, carpet and windows had stuff all over them. We did have a very nice waitress. Not going there again.
