Jack Astor's Bar & Grill Burlington

I took my mom out to lunch here and we enjoyed it! We decided to order apps and split it. We ordered the cheese soup, crab and lobster dip, Fries and garlic dip and the calamari. The cheese soup was amazing and I would definitely order it again. Crab and lobster dip was good but didn't wow me. I think it needed more crab and lobster. I want a fan of the fries and garlic dip but my mom loved it. The calamari was very good! It had onions and peppers mixed in too which we liked. There is ample parking as it shares parking with a few other restaurants on site. They have one way traffic inside the restaurant and the waiters wear masks and goggles. You do have to do contact tracing and menu through QR code but if you don't want to or can't, they offer paper menus. If you are worried about covid, I would say this restaurant is very safe.

Any time I’ve been to this location of Jack Astor’s I’ve sat in the bar area. The regular bartender Danny is absolutely outstanding! His service is impeccable. He always greets you with a smile and engages you in great conversation. He never leaves you waiting long to order and once he meets you once, won’t forget your name. My experience with the rest of the staff over the years has been nothing but positive as well. It seems like they do a great job hiring individuals who do their jobs very well and treat their customers with excellence. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Have not been to Jack Astor's in a while and we used to go regularly as it was one of our favourite places to go. Was greatly disappointed this time - what happened!? It took ages to be served, then it took even longer for our food to arrive. I had ordered a steak as I am not good at making them at home ... sadly, I do a better steak than what I received. I ordered med to med well and received a very over done, thin, tough piece of meat - it was awful. My children loved their bow tie pasta and stir fry meal. On a super positive note, our server Lucas was awesome. Very professional and it was obvious, the delay in food etc was not on him, but the kitchen. Lucas took great care of us! Despite the disappointment in the food, we were given a free desert and they kindly removed the charge for the steak dinner (even though I did not ask nor expect it). Hopefully this was just a bad night for the kitchen as Jack Astor's is a great restaurant - again, thanks to Lucas for great service.

My wife and I had an incredible time at Jacks as per usual. Allie was the perfect waitress! She greeted us with a smile and had great energy through the evening and our glass was always full. The meal was spectacular. Nachos covered with a double order of chicken fingers sauced in honey garlic! The kitchen is always accommodating to our unusual request. We will definitely be back. Food was pretty decent. First time there so had no expectations. The nachos were large. The garlic bread was fluffy and tasty. My wife got the Mexican bowl which was light and flavorful and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich. The blue cheese dressing they used was very bland and commercial. The service wasn't the best and had to ask to get refills.
