Great pub with very friendly atmosphere. Staff are great and next time we go we'll have pie and mash as we are told their pies are awesome and the mash is to die for.

Wonderful place for a cosy drink, a livelier drink, Sunday roast in front of the fire, wonderful singers at night. There truly is something for everyone and the landlady and landlord well they just go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience

Went here for a Sunday roast whilst on holiday at a local CL site. We were advised to arrive at noon as you are not allowed to book and we were a party of 9. There was a choice of 3 real ales and a good selection of draught lagers and ciders. The pub was very clean, with each table having a hand sanitiser. We were given a warm welcome on arrival.
The roasts available were chicken, beef and lamb. The portions were a good size and was cooked very nicely. We really enjoyed our meals.
Afterwards we stayed for sometime and played pool. The locals were watching the football and we had a thoroughly good time.

The new publicans Ray and Lorna have really injected a new lease of life into this pub. They organise a lot of special events and have brought in a number of new beers and lagers and other specialty drinks. The food menu now has some tasty no nonsense food and I defy anyone to finish their ploughman’s, it’s huge. Well worth a visit.
