Cactus Club Cafe Barlow Trail

Went for team dinner. Had an amazing experience. Food was mind blowing. It was jam packed still then service was quick and great. Starting from drinks , starters to main course everything was delicious. We ordered Fries, spicy chicken and mini burgers for starters, and for mains Modern bowl, teriyaki chicken rice bowl and blackened creole chicken. As mentioned everything was delicious but blackened creole chicken stole the show. Chicken was so tender and well cooked. Everything was bit pricey but must say it was worth it.

This was my first visit to Cactus at this location. I usually go to the one at Stephan Ave and always loved their service. Me and my work colleagues decided to go for out for dinner. For few of my colleagues it was their first ever experience. Reservations to seating things were pretty good. We started with the drinks. Ordered few virgin from the menu. As we were talking and some of my colleagues were deciding what to order, one of my colleagues almost ended her drink. Within minutes the server took away the glass and didn’t even offer water from the very beginning till the end. It was very weird for me as it never happened before. The appetizers were ordered along with the main course. The appetizers were served with a very less time difference with the mains. As soon as someone finishes their food or drinks the server was just rushing to remove the empty cutlery from the table. We were in the middle of a conversation many times and this was very disturbing as it was happening repeatedly. No one was offered water which was surprising for me. All the mains were pretty good except the med bowl. Desserts were yummy as always. I was very disappointed with their service at this location. Food was good and piping hot when served.

This Cactus club location has always been consistent and I mean consistently good. You're always greeted at the front with a warm smile and if you have to wait it's never been long (at least for me) the drink selection is amazing, cocktails are presented wonderfully. My go to is the Creole chicken but I've tried many of their items and have not been disappointed. Staff is friendly and washrooms are clean and classy. Bar has a couple TV's but this is a place I'm usually chatting with friends or family.

What a great spot. Half of the restaurant was reserved for some big thing happening in an hour and a half, but they explained what was going on, and offered us a reserved table anyhow. Our server, Hannah, might’ve been one of the most kind and pleasant servers I’ve ever dined with. Food was delicious and came out pretty quick, and my son loved his little birthday treat. The ceviche was unique and packed with flavor, and the Cajun chicken packed way more flavor than I expected from some fancy-looking Canadian restaurant.

Really Impressive! Amazing food with beautiful ambiance! Excellent customer service! We enjoyed perfect family dinner on my husband’s birthday. A cherry on top was the delicious dessert lava ice cream cake with happy birthday written on it from the team of Cactus Club. So beautiful! So yummy! Highly recommended!

Great service today on Sunday in the lounge! Had a really nice, efficient server. We ordered multiple drinks and never waited more than 5 minutes. The drinks were delicious and I appreciate that the lime garnishes are GREEN and not browning. You'd be surprised how many places serve you with a browning lime wedge. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Happy hour selection is huge on drinks and food - you can't go wrong. I went with the Crispy Tofu Bowl and it was beyond satisfying. Great presentation and flavours all around.

The place is nice. An all time go to! We ordered the Med bowl which was okay if you love hummus; the mushroom stake which is delicious; the green curry bowl which is a little on the sweet side; the teriyaki bowl which was also delicious. For drinks we ordered The Bellini which is sweet, Hey Hibiscus which is always nice and Soul Revival which has a lot of taste of turmeric and ginger.

We had a really great outing for one of my boyfriends friends birthday last night at Cactus Club Barlow. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, and finally had the opportunity to try them! Service was greT, food and drinks came fast, and hot food was served promptly. The dishes were all beautifully crafted, and everyone gobbled everything up! The cocktails were really fun and great flavour, though, a little pricey in my humble opinion. The butternut squash ravioli was impeccable, the crunchy of the sage really rounded out the richness of the brown butter sauce, and the prawns were juicy and cooked to perfection! The burgers our friends had were massive and fulfilling, the chicken in one of them crispy and full of flavour, the mini sliders had a delectable sauce, and the meat really packed a punch! The steaks looked like absolutely perfection, and the veg and mashed potatoes were honestly better than I could have hoped for, those mashed potatoes beating out the ever so popular garlic mash from moxies! Dessert was beyond perfection in looks, taste, as well as the textures. I believe we ordered one of each dessert save for the cheesecake. We will definitely be back!
