Earls Calgary Barlow Trail

We should have known that this place was going to be bad from the start when on a friday they were able to sit us within 5mins wheras joeys and cactus had a 30min wait time. severely dissappointed! For those reading: Please go next door and eat at JOEYS and wait the 30 mins! Our drinks girl (abi) provided excellent service but our waiter (brian) failed to come to our table to take our order for at least 20 mins. Had very little to say to us, unpleasant/sour attitude! We ordered an appetizer of the Buffalo cauliflower and they are deep fried and yet they came out soggier then toilet paper. We didnt eat them. Then came the main courses. I ordered lettuce wraps and my husband the sirloin steak. It came out basically burnt! My lettuce wraps had maybe 9 very small pieces of chicken and the rest was just mushrooms and sauce. Yuck! To top it off it tasted like the burnt leftovers at the bottom of a pan and my lettuce was a discolored yellow/brown tint in the middle. Sadly we ate what we could and left. The service was incredible!! That is what helped our experience. However the dining room is incredibly dark. I even saw people using flash lights. As well the food was good, but portion sizes are lacking. A 22$ salad should not have rotten pieces in it... and the Bigger Better Bigger is quite small. We're not big eaters either.

Came for lunch and the service was good but food was below expectations. I got the steak and sushi; the steak had a lot of fat around it so it was chewy and the sushi rolls were just okay. This meal is much better at Joey’s next door to be honest. Our table was also in a very dark corner which wasn’t great for atmosphere but overall the restaurant is nice.

Went for lunch today with my wife and daughter. We just made the Brunch Happy Hour by a few minutes, unplanned, but happy we did. My wife had the Caesar and thoroughly enjoyed it. She then had the prawn omelette and said it was delicious. I had an im letter too and it was very good! Both came with a salad which was a surprise, but delicious.

The service and food was amazing! Our server Lila went above and beyond with her customer service and was super helpful. The hostess Leah and the manager Becca, were very kind and ensured that we had the perfect table. I am very impressed with all the staff at this Earls. 10/10 will definitely be back.
