La Casa Latina Restaurant

Decided to give this place a try, and was really impressed. It's not to often we go out for Mexican but I'm really glad we did. My group and I started the evening with an order of nachos. At first glance I immediately noticed that the nachos didn’t have any meat on them, I must admit I was annoyed by this, but that initial disappointment quickly changed, the chips were tender , the beans tasty, and the cheese all went together really well, I really do wonder if they make the chips in house. As for our mains in ordered the steak Fajitas, the beef was incredibly lean and tender with a great mix of flavors, my partner ordered the Bandeja Paisa, the plate was large and the assortment was really good. The rice was well seasoned, the sausage went really well with the egg and the beans and beef steak really paired nicely. I definitely recommend you check this restaurant out if your looking for a nice Mexican dinner

Food is amazing! Spending time in South America and having a Colombian wife, we were looking for a place that was authentic, provided good service and of course delicious food. La Casa Latina checked every box. My wife loves it for the authentic food which reminders her of home. The taste, presentation and dishes make you feel like you are actually in that country eating at a local restaurant. They definitely did their homework to replicate local dishes. The staff are friendly and passionate about the food they prepare and serve. A hit with the Calgary Latino and lovers of Latino food, so the place tends to be busy. You can just drop in but reservation are also available. Parking is very limited so plan for using the paid lot across the street or find a close street that allows parking. Highly recommended.

We ordered the Flauntas Sonoras which are chicken-filled crispy corn tortillas and my husband found a couple broken pieces of skewers that were used to hold it shut, one was at least a couple inches long and stabbed the inside of his mouth. We told one of the servers there since ours wasn’t anywhere seen. They have an explanation but no form of compensation especially when it was more than the one piece found. Definitely not coming back here again.

Have been coming to LA casa for years have been one my favorite places for Mexican cuisine, although the service have always been slow the food is worth the wait. This last visit was particularly bad due to the long wait and BAD service, there were numerous items on the menu that were not offered or out for the day. Had to wait very long to pay. Parking is not a thing. Disappointed may be last time we visit.
