Watercress Express

I like this place so far. First time here. Trying sate beef soup. My first reaction was 4 stars. However, I am not crazy about basil or bean sprouts and it was thrown in vs being on the side as in most Vietnamese eateries. No one comes by and asks how you are enjoying the food etc. I will try it again and check out another dish. The soup was spicy and had the whole authentic feel to it. Intriguing.

By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary! Their plate presentation is gorgeous, their ingredients are fresh and their dishes all have a unique twist to classic Vietnamese cuisine. You can really tell they care about their food and their customers, they're always genuine and lovely to talk to! Heart broken to see they've closed due to construction, hoping they pop up elsewhere!

Was a little nervous as there wasn't a soul inside and the noodle joint down the street was packed. We made the right choice however, this place was amazing. Generous portions, incredible presentation, fast and hot, and most importantly delicious! Great flavours, not greasy or oily, and very fresh. Rates as good as any Vietnamese food I've had in the city. Highly recommended! Great atmosphere and friendly people. Will be back to try the many menu options

Tried the steam pork bun. It was tasty; a little on the pricey side but we thought it was worth it. We tried the shrimp papaya salad, grilled pork with spring rolls vermicelli and lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl. We were both impressed with the quality of the food as it tasted authentic. We also liked it since it was food court style which we prefer. We will definitely be back.
