Sunterra Market, West Market Square

This is an expensive place to do your grocery shopping but I like the atmosphere of the store, very clean and nice arrangement of items. Additionaly, it's not a busy place so you can do your shopping calmly. The bakery section is very nice. Also, they have prepared food to eat there or to take out. There are some tables to have your food there.

This place is expensive holy moly. The produce is less desirable than blush lane and about the same cost, on that note the positive is the atmosphere and squeaky clean in store shopping experience as this place is kept very clean. Staff are not as friendly as other grocery stores but it is not the worst either. Still with all that constructive feedback I enjoy shopping here. This is probably best defined as a 3.8 star review so I am rounding up. Many of the same products today are no longer niched at this store but instead offered at an affordable price by competitors. I come here mostly for a quick Italian coffee, or delicious cheese options for dinner entertainment appetizers. The bakery is really nice offering great desserts worthy of the price. The Italian meats are well done and pre cooked or marinated options are fantastic for cooking cheat for the chef of the house. Enjoy! I will check this out again in a few months.

Love this supermarket! Lots of variety of local and international products. Very clean and organized isles. Super friendly staff and great service overalls. What I love the most is the little restaurant. I tested many of the dishes in here and I have to say that the food is really good, is homemade food very tasty and very affordable prices. Always come back! Highly recommend!

Sunterra has a really nice selection of fresh produce and harder-to-find products. The prices are a little higher here, but the staff are friendly and welcoming. The cafe inside has a rather static menu, but they do offer daily specials with dishes they don’t normally offer. I like coming here to relax, drink some coffee, and hang out with family and friends.

I seldom offer reviews of an establishment unless there is a compelling reason to do so. Today (Sunday) I was looking for a couple of beef wraps. We had had them before and were not disappointed. However, this go-round, the staff with whom I spoke failed to understand my request. After ascertaining that there were no wraps available, I chose a couple of submarine sandwiches, one Asian meatball and one pork with bacon. I regret having done so. The bun was rock hard (really) and utterly tasteless. The 'balls' were equally bland. Frankly, for $8.39 each, I had expected (much) better. We threw the mess out.

This is a good grocery store, with a great deli and serves hot fresh and to order food. It's missing some top brands, but has most everything you'd be looking for. I have removed a star because I find it expensive in comparison with other grocery stores in the city. I also find pedestrian access in the winter as poor. There are no stairs coming from the c-train station, causing you to have to walk all the way around the parking lot.

Such an incredible little market system in Calgary, their prepackaged food is so unique and absolutely to die for. If you’re in a hurry to find something for dinner, their little deli has tons of healthy, fresh options, always served by staff with a smile. I enjoy finding unique international goods on the shelves like oils and vinegars from Italy and pickled beets from Poland. We do wish Sunterra would sell prepackaged foods in compostable containers and cut down on plastic packaging.

This place can be expensive depending on what you get (ya that Saltspring Island cheese is made by legit hippies, they need to make a living wage!). However, I love the variety in ready made stuff, deli items, and it's hands down the best meat selection on the west side of the city that I've seen. Other pluses are, they always seem to have all tills open so even when there's a small line, it's moving. They carry your bags out to the car if you need it, and there's always parking. I've also taken advantage of their online ordering with $8 delivery, which has been so convenient.
