Filos Restaurant

Filos Restaurant and bar is an upscale local pub with a better than average food menu. My personal favorite are the many pizza choices, from the usual Meat Lovers, Hawaiian and Greek to new and improved craft pizzas such as prosciutto peach and basil, and smoked bacon and chicken. I also like the daily specials such as half price appies on Wednesdays and pasta night on Tuesdays. The service is always excellent and also they have lots of TV’s to enjoy the game.

First off let me say we used to eat here before covid. The service was great, no complaints there and that’s why I’m giving 3 stars, the food however was mediocre at best. We ordered the shrimp for a starter, it was very bland, and tasted like it had been boiled then covered in cheese and garlic butter, for our main I ordered the steak sandwich and Caesar salad and my husband the blacked chicken and smashed potatoes. The chicken was good but the potatoes had a glue like consistency, the steak was very tough with a lot of gristle and no flavour. Don’t think we’ll be back.

We were looking for a Prime Rib dinner and this place popped up on Google with their Saturday special, so we thought we would give it a try. I can say we were delightfully surprised on how great it was. The food we ordered was fabulous; some of the best mashed potatoes I've had, and I loved that they had beets included as one of their vegetables. It was busy when we arrived, but our server was great and tended to us promptly. There are so many food options to choose from, and our food didn't take long to arrive at our table after we ordered. It's a nice clean pub with lots of tv's (and vlt's if you play those too). The entire menu looked interesting and we will be back again to try it all out. As we were leaving we were also asked how our experience was. I can say I was impressed everything.

I moved to the area last summer and Filos quickly became our favourite nearby spot. I've brought friends and family here as well, and everyone has loved it! All of their servers are so sweet, kind and attentive. The atmosphere is always pleasant whether is a quite weekday lunch or a busy Saturday night. Food is always fast and delicious. My favourite menu items are the baked french onion soup, beef dip and bruschetta. And their pizza crust is perfectly light and crunchy. Their ceasers are the best in the south! Perfectly spiced and topped with pickled asparagus. Yum!
