Hana Sushi

We ordered an all veggie dinner and it was SO good. My favourite was the A+A roll. The crunch, the freshness - yum yum yum! We also ordered the vegan roll - delicious. The yam (and avocado) roll. Yum! Hana was a standby for me and my husband while dating and now we eat there when visiting - it’s even better than I remember 10 years ago.

The staff were friendly and polite. Over all the food was pretty good,a bit pricey but good. The teriyaki chicken hotplate was large enough for 2 and all the sushi was aesthetically pleasing as well as tasty. We went as a large group, and that's how I recommend doing it. Despite some reviews it is NOT a buffet.

We really appreciated the service during the very busy Lilac Festival. It started to drizzle as we were on the patio and we were promptly moved inside. There was a small issue with one of the dishes, but efficiently taken care of to our satisfaction. Our food was tasty and we left satisfied as usual. 😋

If you're calling for take-out, be careful, as the sizes and prices they'll give you on the phone for menu items can be different than the menu they have posted on their own website. Their food is good, I don't dispute that, but their service in this regard sure leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. Somewhat deceptive if you ask me. I've been a customer for 10 plus years, but starting to think I may look for a different sushi place from now on - one that honors the pricing on their online menu. -- addition: after getting home with my sushi order, it wasn't even what the menu lists it as being - and it's something I've ordered countless times before. They changed the ingredients/contents of it without even mentioning anything when I ordered. So yeah, if you're calling for take-out, be aware you may not get what you ordered at all.

The food was good, service was a little slow, but there was only one person in the kitchen as far as I could tell. I would only suggest that you label which items are gluten friendly. I'm glad I went up and asked for gf soy sauce as I was informed that many of the items which are usually gluten free at other sushi restaurants i frequent, were not gluten free.
