Mission Oaks Cafe

Been here a few times and really enjoyed the food but after today I'm not sure I'll be going back. Waited 50 minutes to get our hamburger, tuna melt, and kids pancake. Watched 3 other tables who showed up after we ordered get their food before us. Watched Mr. Chao and his family come in order and receive their food 10 minutes after ordering. The wait staff is great but something must be going on with the kitchen staff.

My husband and I went to Mission Oaks Cafe for the first time last weekend. The new decor is beautiful, great atmosphere. The wait staff couldn't be better and food was amazing. The chef came out to meet us and ask how the food was. Prices are very good! We'll definitely go back soon and take family and friends.

The food is ok. Service kind of sucked. The waiter (he was the only one) disappeared for long periods of time. We heard other tables complaining quietly. I had the chicken Cobb salad it was great. My friend had the BLT in a wrap which was recommended by the waiter and it was good. If only he had been more present in the room.

This owner is the same owner from kitchen nightmares (Mama Rita’s) not only did she loose her other restaurant but she seem to be running this one the same way! Frozen foods and non fresh ingredients 🤦🏼‍♂️ After being on kitchen nightmares she went back to her old ways at mama Rita’s and lost her restaurant. Never eating here again after finding out this information!

If a place gives me the same level of service that a 40 dollar a plate restaurant gives you, I am impressed. This restaurant used to be gross, but management changed and it is amazing. I came in during happy hour and asked for veggie tacos, but those weren't currently available, so the waitress came up with a delicious idea of avocado and cheese tacos. I then told them my long list of severe allergies. Without telling me the tacos came with hot sauce the waitress had the cooks remove it, which is a rarity at restaurants. By doing that I avoided a major allergic reaction, so I gave a hundred percent tip. Sure, 100 percent of 5.36 cents isn't a lot, but it was the level of service that I was given that was worth a 100 percent tip. I plan to come here again. No, I don't usually give 100 percent tips.
