Nice atmosphere and food. Gluten free options are not great BUT the staff were very knowledgeable and careful about gluten which was great Had the lamb shoulder which was a nice, surprisingly homey dish that brought out the natural flavours of the lamb and vegetables really well. Dessert was also good - we had the peanut butter parfait which was delicious and the mango panna cotta which was great but could have used a couple more raspberries and strawberries, as the tartness of those berries combined with the other flavours really made the dish!

Today's birthday celebrations took us to this spot with a modern Australian / European twist, although the lunch selections seemed just as Asian inspired. We placed our orders with a chirpy server - she was good at describing one of their signature dinner offerings but a little pushy asking us to Instagram. I can't say they were fast as the wait was dominated by a lot of conversation but my grumbling, empty belly was grateful when the food finally arrived. My apple crumble pancakes were a little light on ingredients. There was dash of maple, blueberries that I can count on one hand, really tasty but such tiny clusters of oat crumble, slivers of poached apple and a small scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. The overall effect was dry pancakes. The points are because my friends liked their yoghurt marinated Moroccan chicken salad and the sweet potato hash with pulled lamb shoulder. There were no desserts for lunch but we were told we must come back for dinner to try them. While the modern setting and the comfortable booth were pleasant, I can't say I was won over by the food when Melbourne has so many great places to eat.

Great food, especially loved the pancakes, which I would highly recommend. Not your standard pancakes, they were fluffy inside and slightly crunchy on the outside, delicious. Took my mum here for Mother’s Day. Staff were super friendly but it did take about half an hour for food to come out, and they forgot the food for our neighbouring table (very patient and polite couple). Would visit again.

2.8 We stopped for a pre dinner drink tonight. One Mekong Sunrise and an Aperol Spritz. I was going to have a Negroni but backed off that when the server said, “...I may have the recipe for that...” which didn’t generate confidence that it’d be a good one. Service was pleasant but slow and the cocktails took a long while to be started, finished and served. We may have just been unlucky as I think a couple of staff members were either on a break or came in just before we left. Whatever the reason the delay was too long with so few customers inside before things really geared up for the evening. My partner’s Aperol Spritz was ordinary. Wrong glass and the mix tasted underehelming. By contrast, the Mekong Sunrise was excellent. It was a very nice cocktail. It was an average experience tonight, unfortunately. I might be prepared to return given some of the other good reviews about the place.

We felt duped. The waitress sold the 5 tasting plates to us and said it will cost $32. She then charged us $64 (32 x 2) at the end and when questioned pointed to the fine print at the bottom of the menu that read per person. Not happy about the sales tactic. We think when mentioning a deal it would be honest to say per person before we ordered. Not happy.
