Terra Bird'n'bbq

Made a booking at the last minute and got a seat at the bar. Not only did we get sensational food but we also had the pleasure of watching the kitchen team bring the flavours to life. We ordered the chicken, brisket with sides of cabbage, cauliflower and buttermilk biscuit. Overall a fantastic meal complimented by the great service. It was impossible to pick a highlight as everything made for an amazing experience. Will be back.

This has become one of my go to places in Canberra; amazing food, service wine and atmosphere! Classic chargrill food cooked to perfection. Must try the octopus and the chicken. Sides are excellent as are the steaks! Love the wine selection and the unique donuts are a foodie delight! Love this place!

Went to Terra on a Saturday after basketball. A great place for a late lunch (kitchen was still open around 2:30pm). I’ve been here a few times for lunch and they never disappoint. High quality food every single time. They have a great selection of warm and cold salads to choose from. The miso chat potatoes that we ordered was a warm salad, and it was delicious. A great marriage of flavours with the miso, mayo and feta combo. Would order this salad again. The chicken was so tender and juicy (even the chicken breast), regret having to share with others… Will have to try their dinner menu soon!

Out of towner visiting Canberra and dinner at Terra surpassed my expectations. Enjoyed the $75 feed me menu (2 pax) and it included the following: Edamame pancake (fish pate on it was a star), duck liver pate (definitely needed the compressed honeydew to break it up a little), rotisserie half chicken (the chicken breast was super juicy and you could really taste the charcoal flavour), pork and smoked beef brisket (delicious flavours and the fat to meat ratio was on point) with lettuce salad (meh, could have given this a miss), brisket fat chips and fried cauliflower (the Harissa elevated the taste) as sides. Finished off ricotta donuts with an intense jack daniels honey. Love that the menu gives diners the origin of their meats too. Extreme quality meal and left satisfied and satiated! Venue was upmarket casual and ambience was warm and intimate. Highly recommended!

I’ve been walking past by this place so many time thinking ’oh I should really try this place’. I finally did and the food was so good. I don’t usually go for brisket but their brisket is the best I’ve ever had in Canberra. Super tender, juice, goes perfectly with the sauces. If you are unsure what to get, I recommend getting the big boy barbeque (perfect for 2 people) just to see what’s what. But for me the brisket was the best!
