Chocolateria San Churro

Don't want to give such a negative review since Mr. Mansour has always been such a nice guy. (Not that he was on site for this) Unfortunately when I visited this store I left feeling sick to my stomach. It definitely wasn't busy, but the tables hadn't been given a wipe down. I think the staff on the coffee machine need some serious retraining, you couldn't hear anything over the milk screaming when they were trying to texture it for hot chocolates (this is possibly what lead to me feeling sick as I think they really just boiled the milk to hell and back). The food is fine, nothing to complain about there. I would go back, but I'll wait until I hear the milk texturing before I sit down and order.

Ordered churros for one to have it there and the order took so long that I went to check and it was just waiting at the counter cold - it's understandable on a busy night delays can happen. I told them it's cold churros and they offer to prep a fresh one which never came. Followed up and thought I'll stand at the counter instead of waiting at the table (hoping that might work). While im waiting, they were serving new orders and even after checking again, I still had to wait while new orders were being served. Dont know whats the whole point of having order tracking techs if cant manage orders. Had my coffee, cancelled my churros (that was quick), not worth the drama and just wasted time waiting.

One of the only places in Canberra for Churro lovers. Convenient location next to Woden Mall with adequate parking. Great options of chocolate drinks to go with your Churros. For the health conscious try the steaming naughty and nice chocolate drink before you head back to mall for another shopping spree. If you are in a hurry not the best place to order your food as the wait times are a bit longish and certainly dont get too excited about all flavours some can be a bit much. Over all great smiling staff and good ambience...good for one more try.
