Toasted

The best cafe in Canberra? Maybe. My favourite? Absolutely. These guys are always super friendly, the coffee is always good and the food is great. They do regular specials which are always awesome whilst keeping the old favourites on the menu (loaded banana bread and the savoury crumpet are my 2 faves). Perfect spot for a park-up if you're of the 2-wheeled persuasion.

We went to this cafe for a quick brekkie, first impression was the staff did not greet us, not even a welcome or a smile. Staff said sit wherever you want to. We ordered 1. Porridge which came pretty quick and was delicious. 2. Eggs on toast and requested if they can make scrambled eggs instead, to which they refused saying we can't make scrambled eggs(how on earth can a chef/cook can't make scrambled eggs). 3. Coffee took 10 minutes to come. 4. We also ordered 3 cheese toastie that took MORE THAN HALF HOUR to come and that's only after asking the staff more than 10 times. The most frustrating thing was the customers who came after us were attended before us. By the time toastie came our other dish was cold and we had to take away the toastie. Very bitter experience. The staff was unfriendly and rude to us, no duty of service towards customer and no sense of hospitality. I do not recommend this place.
