Honest Chocolate Cafe

Honest is a CBD gem. Suited for digital nomads, chocolate lovers and architectural enthusiasts, this cafe is an unexpectedly serene and picturesque, with wonderful Wi-Fi. Rather expensive, but the quality is comparable - I went for the iced chocolate with oat milk. The staff are relaxed and attentive, but moreso on the shy side. Overall, it gets a double thumbs up from me for its gorgeous setting, mellow team and divine drinks. Definitely recommend for friend dates or for a quiet afternoon catching up on work.

I can't articulate how amazing this place is. The atmosphere, the food and drinks. I forgot to ask for their name ,but as I walked in, I asked the person at the counter to pick a drink for me. They picked an ice something chocolate. That tasted amazing, not too sweet nor thick. With two croissants 🥹hear me out, those croissants were "oh so heavenly." 10/10

Famous out of „Somebody feed Phil“ (Netflix) We went here two times: the first time, there was load shedding, so no orders could be made :-( On our last day here, we tried it again. No load shedding, so chocolate time can start. You can order chocolate to drink out of a menu of various styles. Also many cakes and other chocolate-stuff are available. It’s your choice - and it’s a hard choice if you don’t wanna get a sugar-shock! We tried also milkshake (with a mashed brownie inside), which has been quite the best milkshake I ever had. Also the hot chocolate and the chocolate cheesecake were very nice! So it was a great idea to come back. If you love chocolate, then you have to visit this cafe! If you don’t love chocolate, then you also have to visit it ;-)

I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a a bunch of sweat treats after Mimosa’s and MJ ? The banana bread bunny made me cry a little ; Banana bread, hollowed out and replaced with Ice cream and choc sauce. The chocolate cake, Tart and brownie were yum. The cheesecake made me wee a bit - it was that good. Ambience is lovely, could do with better heating during the winter if I’m being honest 😉

My son is a chocolate-lover!!! So when he heard about hot chocolate and chocolate cake... he wanted to go!!! We specially picked the coldest day in CT to enjoy this chocolate cafe. When you walk into the shop, you can smell the chocolate aroma in the room. Their chocolate and cake displays are set up so nicely, and I love their menu on the wall. Everything is chocolate and more chocolate. We ordered their hot chocolate (as mentioned, it was a coldish day) and a double dark chocolate cake. My son ate all the cake without sharing, and I drank the hot chocolate. They used real unsweetened chocolate to make the hot chocolate, so it wasn't to my son's taste. I did add some sugar, but it was still very strong chocolate taste. My only regret was not trying more chocolate options like their brownies or the chocolate bunny chow. Definitely next time and buying their chocolate slabs. It is a bit pricey, but you can't argue because they do use good quality chocolate to make their drinks and confectioneries. I gave them a 4-star, but not because it was not good. Their cake was tasty (not too sweet, not too heavy, or too rich). The sponge was less moist, and the hot chocolate was just not creamy or warm enough for me. They brought the food and took the order correctly but there was not much service (you order, they bring and that is it.) And the place is cozy and they got that 'alley look and feel to the place'... you just want people to sit longer and use the space more to have that vibe to the place.

We stumbled upon this cafe one evening while heading to The Gin Cafe. Since it was late, I didn’t try the coffee but we had several desserts. I ordered a caramel chocolate cheesecake and the banana bread ice cream volcano. They were both divine! It’s definitely a place to stop in for delicious treats and the service was so friendly. A great gem of a place.

I went to this place to enjoy a lovely afternoon with their coffee and chocolate cheesecake! All their chocolates are handcrafted with high quality and organic ingredients! Definitely love their cheesecake with nuts to add a bit crunchy, and then in the middle is the soft, creamy filling and at the bottom is the chocolate. Not too sweet and it just matched with their coffee so much! I also bought an 80% dark chocolate as souvenirs! Definitely worth it! Bookmark this place if you visiting Cape Town! Its a GEM! Not only coffee and chocolate, it also has a bubble bar and another bar inside this magical place!
