Saveur Restaurant - Loop Street

I was delighted to find Marrow again- I thought with COVID that they had closed forever- but thank goodness not- just moved to a super cute spot in Newlands. The best part is they also do delivery- which makes it even easier to get my Chicken Soup fix. Seriously this chicken soup - words don't do it justice, and the bonus is how it packs a nutrient punch!! I also had the yellow bowl which was delicious. I nearly fell over when my 7 year old- who refuses to eat soup- ate 2 helpings of the broth with noodles. We will certainly be ordering again.

Revisited this place for the first time since we went into lockdown and I am so pleased to say it has incorporated all necessary safety protocols without compromising any of the charm of the restaurant or quality of the food. Served by Cynthia and Nono who were both such a delight. 10/10 recommend this place.

What a gem on Loop street! Cosy eatery with a small menu of bone broth dishes unique in flavour & beautifully presented. We ordered one vegan option and one broth with pork and saffron and we swooned in silence enjoying it, swapping bowls halfway. We left sated, glowing with the satisfaction of having had something really nourishing and delicious, and took an extra jar of broth home to whip up an easy lunch tomorrow

Had the yellow broth and everything is just right. From the egg to the ramen. The broth is light not too heavy or salty. The “Turkish delight” is a delicious touch to the meal. Also enjoyed the stuffed squid and Asian coleslaw, just a bit heavy on the dressing. The green smoothie is super yummy. If you choose something light to drink, try their rooibos ice tea that doesn’t contain any sugar.
