Wahaca Cardiff

We went on a bank holiday weekend when there was two big shows on in town, so it was extremely busy. Despite this, the service was amazing and run like clockwork. All staff were friendly and food come out in good time. Clearly a well managed restaurant. The food was delicious with good portion sizes.

Had a great meal. The staff are really friendly, however a little slow but it was a busy Saturday night so not unexpected. The food came out quick and the selection of drinks was lovely. The toilets are up two flights of stairs but I believe there's a lift for anyone in need of it. Sat by the door to start where there was a breeze but the waitress was happy to find us a new table further over. Would definitely go back!

First experience and enjoyed it, only thing which wasn't explained about was the food will come out once it's ready and not all at one go, first our daughter's food then 5 minutes later my partner's and a further 10minutes later was mine safe to say I was hungry at this point. Will be back to try out rest of menu, went for the sweet potato veggie rainbow bowl and it was delicious.

I shared the delicious set meal for 2 with a friend consisting of Sweet Potato & Feta Taquito, Plantain Tacos, Black Bean & Three Cheeses Quesadilla, Toasted Corn Bread, Ancho Mushroom Tacos, Zesty Bean & Feta Tostadas and Seasonal Greens. This worked out at a reasonable £23 each and well worth the money for the fantastic selection of fresh and incredibly tasty food that was served. Each dish was perfectly seasoned, looked beautiful and most importantly tasted fantastic. The service was generally quick although it took a few tries to get the bill. All in all very happy with such a delicious meal and great to try such a variety of food that was so well cooked.

Booked for a group of 13 people, easy booking with quick confirmation and replies. Arrived 30 minutes early and staff were prepared to accommodate us and welcoming. Service was excellent and efficient, considering the amount of people on the table this was impressive. Food was excellent, no faults, we had one person with a nut allergy and one gluten free and this was dealt with perfectly. Price was reasonable and for the quality of food, definitely worth it! All round excellent experience, would recommend.

Excellent Mexican food for a decent price. The menu is great - it has a large range of tacos (with plenty of vegan options that aren’t just black beans!) and interesting dishes such as crab tostadas. I also really like the decor here - it’s vibrant and colourful yet still modern and clean. Also the service was actually great!
