The team were great. It was a super busy day and the team were clearly working super hard. Our food was superb and the staff had a great sense of humour despite being up agaisnt it. We stayed right until close outside (sorry!!) And they were still so pleasant and patient with us. You made it a very special evening. As we left, I realised I hadn't taken my glasses back up to the bar so really sorry about that. Thanks for a great evening

Really yummy Sunday lunch in a nice, traditional setting. Lovely countryside views outside and a good amount of parking.
Service was very good - friendly.
And price was reasonable.

Excellent home cooked food, old school pub with fire, pets welcome. Great for families, never had a bad meal. Staff very friendly and remember regulars.

Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Was made aware straight away of one dish not available and that service may be slow due to staff shortages. I wasn’t slow and I felt it was fine. I was very pleased with my food as were other members of my group. I had a steak Americano which was beautiful and a lovely caramel sundae. Definitely eat here again.

One of the best pubs around this part of Cardiff North with amazing staff. It benefits from amazing views of the Afon Hafren across to Bristol.

Wonderful food, atmosphere and service.
My partner and I had sirloin steaks, fries, onion rings, peppercorn sauce and beef dripping sauce, all of which were delicious.
Overall 10/10 experience - Thank you! We can’t wait to come back.

Another first time visit, immaculately kept old country pub on the outskirts of Cardiff , warm welcome by the waiting team , stunning Xmas tree and log fire made it more welcoming. The food was excellent . Huge beer garden for hot summer days with an outside bar and plenty of facilities for the kids in the play area . We both ordered the sausage and mash with streaky bacon and caramelised onion gravy 😋👍

When we arrived out table wasn't ready and had to wait 10 minutes or so, which was fine because the bar had space and warmth from the fire.
The quality of the food (Sunday roast) was very good. However, 2 ordered the trio of roast and the quantity of meat was small (especially for an adult portion) and one of the guests was missing carrots. Apart from that all the other guests were very happy with their choices.

Had a birthday meal here recently. Beautiful food and Cozy atmosphere inside. Great service.

Been here in different occasions and every time the meal is real tasty like the scampi, fish finger and soup are the best so far for me. The atmosphere is gorgeous because sometimes you can see horses outside and there's lots of greenery but also in the inside there's quite interesting pictures and it feels quite cozy.
