The Botanist Cardiff Bar & Restaurant

First time to this restaurant and I was surprised how big it was. I liked the deco and amount of seating. Staff were polite. I can't say the service was over quick once you placed your order but were were not in a rush so it was fine. Nice menu but not many vegan options but I had the cauliflower burger which was really good. Nice selection of cocktails and drinks. So all in all a pleasant experience and will go again.

We came here for a weekend brunch and were really impressed. The 'build your own' aspect of that basically allows you to make your own continental/cooked/mixed brunch platter. All of the different things we selected were delicious, and to our surprise, the portion sizes were fair too. The restaurant interior is beautiful, with an artificial river and lots of greenery. This is a great place for friends' brunches, dates, etc.

Lovely as always . Staff were very busy today with large tables . Starters arrived very quickly and with our 1st drink orders ? Following drinks required calling for assistance , other visits had been along more accommodating . Will return as love all just a shame we felt alittle neglected on this occasion .. Let's hope this was a one off . Till the next time .

Great roof top bar with a lively vibe, as the name might suggest there is an array of cocktails on the drinks list as well as beers and wines. There is indoor and outdoor seating available on the roof with a lift to get up I'd you don't fancy walking. There is a restaurant on the second floor but I didn't venture in.

We had a lovely Brunch at the Botanist Friday morning. We had a reservation that we took the same morning (you can book until 1h in advance). The aesthetics of the place is enchanting, the room is divided by plants and decorations which really allows you to have your preferred vibe at any visit. The music was loud enough to drown any conversation around but still allowing you to have a nice conversation without there being a need to shout. We tried many things on the menu and everything was really good. For 15£ we were full and ready to enjoy our day in the city ! We also saw that there was a live piano show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which we would love to enjoy next time we pass by. We will definitely come again !

I had a really lovely meal here, I've not been to the Bontanist before but I'd definitely go again. My friend booked it for pre Beyonce food and drink, the cocktails were lovely but I wouldn't recommend the boozy lemonade - it tastes a little off. I had the lamb skewer, with chips and a side of flatbread - all really nice. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff were lovely. Nicely done out roof terrace, they had a dj on this day and tailored cocktails which were bloody lovely! Recommend.

Gorgeous bar /restaurant in Central Cardiff close to all other nightlife. Great atmosphere, loved the decor and vibe of the place. Had amazing meal on the set menu.. Good quality and value of money for the huge amount of food served! Went on a Saturday night and was live music.. That was quite loud so hard to hear conversation whilst dining at that point. Expensive drinks menu especially for the ladies who like drinking cocktails!

Easily one of the most beautiful restaurants I have been to in Cardiff! The decor was stunning with its lush greenery and water feature. We had fish and chips and the lamb kofta kebab and they were scrumptious, very affordable and well worth the price. The waitress serving us that day was incredibly friendly and we enjoyed very good service, definitely looking forward to returning for another meal in the coming future!
