What a fab place. My first visit to a Fat Hippo Restaurant and it won't be my last. I ordered the Fat Hippo Burger which was very tasty.

What an incredible experience! We were welcomed warmly as soon as we entered, and had the luxury of being waited on by the manager herself! Her name is Jess, and her customer service and attention to detail are absolutely immaculate. I've worked in the customer services industry for many years, and she really did go the extra mile to make us feel we were having a dining experience, rather than just a meal out. I can be quite awkward with my food orders, and was listened to with great patience, and received amazing menu suggestions!
The food was also phenomenal, and we will be visiting Fat Hippo again without fail!

Delicious burgers making a solid claim for the best burger joint in town.

Very lovely restaurant in the centre of Cardiff. We arrived without booking and they found a table for us (6 people). My mum was cold under the ac so they moved us to another table. Burgers and chips are very tasty, nobody finished the big portions they took to us. Will definitely go back.

Great burger joint in the City Centre. Everything was freshly cooked, the batter on the onion rings was super crispy, the fries were also amazing. Had the Veggie burger which was really tasty and filling. The portions are large so a starter and main is a challenge! (Can be bagged up and taken home though so worth a go) Options to upgrade sides & fries so spoilt for choice -everything looks good.

Another great Burger place. Great food, great gluten-free options, and reasonably priced. My only qualm is no draft beers. That's not the be all and end all. The burgers speak for themselves.

Found this place through Google Maps and the pictures looked incredible. I'm glad I decided to try it because the burger was delicious! The space is also nice and modern. Service was good and not long to wait for anything even though the place was packed for lunch. If you love burgers, you must go!

We went here a few weeks ago and we're so happy to have discovered this place! Excellent selection of burgers and sides, and all of the ice cream milkshakes and sundaes can be made vegan/dairy free. The staff were very helpful with allergens, and the restaurant also allowed dogs. Have been back a few times since, would absolutely recommend :)

Really enjoyed our meal here this evening. Speedy service, burgers cooked perfectly staff friendly. Looking forward to coming back again soon. Had the Swiss Tony burger and Frickles and they were both fantastic. What cut of beef goes into the burgers? Very rich flavour 🍔🥒 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
