Bushfire Kitchen - La Costa

Was really looking forward to going here. Menu looks AMAZING. I will be going back to try some more. I have the chicken curry bowel with brown rice and curry coliflower. It was kind of dry...decent flavor but needed more sause or something. Also had the Mac and cheese...this was good...I give it a 4 out of 5. Had the chocolate chip cookie and it was good but nothing special. My 1 buddy had the Infuego burger...super good flavor and the Jalapeno anole made it nice and spicy...fries were good too...he gave it all a 4 out of 5. My other buddy had the Brisket burger...lots of meat...maybe too much...good burger but the Brisket is more like steak not "fall apart meat" you wld expect from brisket...and it came with sweet potato home fries...He gave the whole meal 3 out of 5. Too much to try here I will be back to give it another try.

If you want hair in your food eat here. I'll be filing a complaint with the health department as well. This establishment stated they couldn't give us a refund for our meal because it was "out of their control" that their was what could have been dog hair or human hair. The GM likes your money but could care less about taking care of the customers and making a wrong right.

@bushfirekitchen thank you for one of the best burgers I’ve had recently! The addition of an egg made an already excellent burger particularly noteworthy. To anyone trying this creation know that you won’t need to order a side because the burger will fully capture your attention (making the customary side order an obsolete concept). The staff were very friendly. Sadly, the food was not good. Everything was very salty. Even my SO who salts everything thought it was too much salt. I had the salmon which had a strange topping. Something like a tapenade. The flavors were not a match. A couple people had mashed potatoes that were like glue. I would not recommend this place.

Came in and ordered 3 meals for take out, inside is empty, few tables outside but an hour to get food. Keep hearing them say they are understaffed but if you can't handle the on line orders, serve the people standing in the restaurant. Servers finally started telling folks would be an hour or more and refunding, but come on. I hope the food will not be messed up and cold when I get home. Update, after being told it would be another 20 minutes, 30 minutes later they still had not even started the order. No manager around, asked for refund which they would only do on the food portion, not the tip. Had to argue to get that back in cash. Never coming here again.
