Bamboo Gardens

My family and I (my husband our 9year old and myself) went here for an early dinner (around 4pm). We told the waitress that we would like 2 buffet's as our son did not eat Chinese food. The waitress tried to charge us for 3 meals. After that was negotiated, and proved that our son did NOT eat, we received our bill...it came to around $30! First there was no menu stating the prices and when we asked for a drink menu the waitress said " we only carry Pepsi products if that helps..." No I asked for a list of what they offered and she smiled...I ordered a sweet tea and found out there were no free refills...that wasn't told to me when I ordered a "refill" they were $3 a piece! Not to mention that there were only 8 items to eat from...not a buffet worth $30.

Service was great but the food was very bland. I've been to several Chinese restaurants throughout the area and even though I would not consider this the worst one, it does rank near the bottom of the list. The General's chicken had way too much brown sugar and not enough spice. The lemon chicken was chicken with just a very small hint of lemon flavor. Crab ragoon was just plain cream cheese, and the fried shrimp was very greasy and chewy. On a positive note, the iced tea was excellent.

I’m disappointed, specially after I looked up the place and seen positive reviews along with a line by the take out window. First, the bathroom had no changing table and my sister had to change her baby in her naps sitting on a toilet. Second, the food is very limited and in my opinion very bland. Third, I have restaurant experience and never have I ever seen being charged 15% for 4 people and 2 one year olds. The girls are nice but don’t even greet you in. They also happen to just walk into the bathroom with their apron on. Never have I walked out of place saying “never again will I come here.” I’m am not a picky person nor do I do bad reviews but this is the last place I would ever dine in.
