Taste Of Jamaica

I was really craving some Jamaican food and discovered this place near me. Went and ordered a lot of food.....I was so disappointed when I got home. I ordered jerk chicken, curried goat, and oxtails..... jerk chicken was bland (never had that before because jerk is highly flavorful), the oxtail and goat was not pleasant at all.....the rice and peas was the best part of the food i got. I'd recommend trying another Jamaican food place.

I got the vegetarian plate which had a couple sides and a veggie patty. The fried plantains were decent, first time having them. They were on the sweet side but I found them tasty. The rice and black beans were really good! I'm a big fan of rice in general and the spices they used really brought a sense of authentic Jamaican food. Now to the veggie patty. To put it simply, it tasted like airplane food: not good at all. The portions were on the low side, especially for the price ($8-$12 depending on what you get). Overall, I think it was an okay experience, I recommend if you're not vegetarian and want to try Jamaican food!

Food is pretty good! I don’t care for the kind of rice that is used so I always ask for more cabbage and less rice ( which I never get)! My biggest complaint would be, Why does it take 10 to 15 minutes to pack a plate?? This happens every time I go here and another Jamaican restaurant! Can someone explain??

I got curry goat. It tastes good but the portion is very small. Not worth the money. It was a large and the amount in it was that of a small. And to be honest, I've had more in a small container from other companies than I did with a large from this company. I also had a chicken pattie which was good but dry.
