True Poke! Spelled with an E at the end! It's been months since I've had my poke fix, and since I moved to the OC, I was on the hunt for a go-to poke joint. This place clearly caught my eye by its name, but I was even more in love with the menu. It's simple poke necessities. Both times I came, I built my own poke bowl. I always get: - Medium Bowl - Brown Rice - Salmon - Waimea Sauce - Crispy Onions - Green Onion - Avocado I have yet to be let down by this place. They've got a water dispenser there, but if you want to get a drink other than water, they have a variety of hawaiian sun drinks in their fridge. The workers are sweet and the service is great!

North Shore Poke is an okay poke place - if you're in the area and hungry for poke though, it's not a bad place to get it. You go there - choose a fish out of the three they have; the base (cucumbers/rice/brown rice) and the many, many sauces they have which is probably their specialty. You can get a medium or large for about $8-$10. It's not bad but for the amount they give you and the lack of options (they charge extra for avocado/ginger/etc.), I feel that you can do better. However, again, it's not a bad place to stop by for a poke craving.

So disappointed! Dropped in for some take out yesterday. Ordered the Oahu bowl and the Yuzu bowl. Got them home, NO marinade or sauce or any flavor. I'm used to having sushi rice in my bowls from other places and I could gave forgiven that the rice comes hot here, but the fish was just the fish, no marinade, no sauce and the same for cucumber- nothing to punch it up. In fact, the guy asked me if I wanted to try a sauce, and I didn't get that either. In fact the description on the bowls said that it comes with a sauce. It's a bummer to spend $35 and come home to eat something I could have made better myself.

My go-to poke place in the Cerritos area for sure. But pricier than most places and the food is not consistently good. Better on Friday and Saturday evenings than on Sunday .. but overall I recommend if you're looking for poke in the area. I've tried most of them and this tastes the best to me ! Was a little disappointed that they forgot the seaweed salad they charged us for at our 5th visit... So just double check your order if you're taking out.
