Godiva Chocolatier

Even I tried to stay from sweet, but when the passing thru this place it made me think twice. Wasn't it look so tempting? Yes indeed, which sweet and big strawberries that deep in the white and brown chocolates? Hmmm, it tastes so delicious and you are in heaven. The place was super clean, and the workers here were so friendly willing to serve you as you walked in the store.

Godiva is pricy, but pretty much everything they have is great. I personally like the coconut cookies, the shakes, and the ice cream. The loyalty club here is pretty good too, you spend ten bucks once and you get a free candy once a month for the rest of the year. Godiva was away from Cerritos mall for a few years, but it came back during the remodel and it's now next to Nordstrom with the same great chocolates and the staff is still nice too.

Great place to purchase high end chocolates. Though the service was not good. I still placed my order. The lady seemed as if she did not like her job and could not explain there rewards program, though she asked me to sign up. When I asked for more detail, it seemed as if I had asked a question that was boring her. Bad customer service. I hope the training model is not to hire people like this, but unfortunately she is giving this establishment a bad representation.

The service is offensive. I am reviewing because the last three times I came to this location I have been treated like a individual who is not worth their time. On one occasion I requested 2 chocolate dipped strawberries and rather than give me my request or try to give me an alternative, they tell me that it's a waist of money to buy two at a time. So they persist on just exclaiming that's it's going to be so expensive over and over while I purchase my items. On a second visit I request the freshly dipped strawberries rather than one that has been sitting out. They tell me it's not ready and that they can only sell me the ones in the front row. They say that they have also just been made so they are just as fresh. I don't see why the reason they can't give me the one they just made instead of another one that I did not want if it's the same sale to them. As a consumer I'm the one that is getting the product. But non of those experiences are worth writing a review. However today I ask how much the chocolate dipped strawberries are. They state that they only have them in options of 9. And that it's a 20 minute wait. I have no problem with that however I asked if they could do me the courteous favor of separating them into 2 separate containers one of 4 and one of 5 . Perplexed they look at me and rudely say why? I state because if I am purchasing a large quantity I want to give them to separate individuals. Then they just tell me no we can't do that. As if they made the containers out of fancy heart shaped Plastics?!? The container is a flimmsy Godiva cardstock happy meal style box!!! It's so offensive how rude and uncustomer friendly they are here at this location. And they don't care at all despite the fact that people pay for these items and it is at no cost to them to try to cater to simple requests.

Which is why I'm not a frequent customer. I mean, why spend beaucoup bucks on chocolate when I can get some for sale at the nearest drugstore/big box store? However, the quality of Godiva chocolates cannot be denied. Whenever my birthday month comes around, I await with anticipation for my Godiva $10 birthday credit. I usually use it once I read the email. The hardest part is trying to decide what to get. Whatever I end up choosing, I never leave disappointed. Service has been okay. The staff I've interacted with could be a little more hospitable. The wait times can vary, depending upon the hour of the day. Godiva Chocolatier is located within the Nordstrom wing of Los Cerritos Center. Another birthday promo redeemed! I can't so no to free chocolate, , so Godiva will continue to earn my business, which naturally, will be every time August comes around again. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

This is not a place for beginners when it comes to chocolate , the chocolate is amazing but the price scares people sometimes I honestly recommend going in with a type of chocolate you want and seeing if they have any recommendations for you My personal favorite is the cheesecake truffle ... It made me a fan of Godiva for life
