So Mun Nan Korean Restaurant

My boyfriend and I came here in August 2021. It was our first time coming here and we have been talking about coming back here soon. Everything was so delicious. I love the variety options of all-you-can eat banchan (side dishes, not pictured). I personally love the fish cakes(from banchan) and I had to exercise some self-control to not get too much of banchan since I wanted to try the dishes. The soup and cold noodles were my favorite. They were both refreshing and balanced out the spices and meats from rice cakes and budae jjigae.

We went here because of the good reviews and I have been going around different Korean restaurants to see which one is the best. The food here were overpriced ($34 for an order of ribs ). The taste of the food were not that great. The side dishes were supposed to be “ eat all you can” , but couldn’t eat much because the taste were mediocre. I was disappointed with the kimchi the most. Worst I’ve ever tasted. Also, the service sucked. You order and then get your own dishes, side dishes and drinks. They will then call you to get your food. After they called my number to pick up the food at the counter, she told me to bring the “ trays back to the counter” , Which I did. After our meal, we were out the door only to be CALLED BACK to bring our dishes back to the counter also. We stacked about 10+ dirty bowls and cups and took them to the counter, doing their jobs for them. If I had known we were going to be doing housekeeping, we would’ve not eaten here. Zero rating on customer service for an overpriced, mediocre restaurant. Will never come back here again.Not worth the time, drive and money!

Fantastic food and banchan. It's worth mentioning that this is a self-service joint, so manage your expectations accordingly. The only weird thing about his place is it supposedly closes at 9pm, but they told customers who came in after 8 that they had closed after the customers sat down and turned them away! This happened to 5 or 6 different parties when we had dinner there.
