Great food and venue, the reason I haven’t given a higher score is due the chatty staff during my visit having a congregation at one of the back tables. It was around 7:30pm so close to closing time, but it was out in the open, they were louder than the customers dining and a few curse words being used which in my opinion is unacceptable and unprofessional. Have your staff conversation behind closed doors! The waffles and hot chocolate were nice, maybe a little on the top sweet side.

This is the umptieth but final time I have received disgusting service at this place. Lovely refreshment menu but the staff are "challenged" to say the least. We have experienced everything from the waitress sniffing the teapot to determine which tea is which, another waitress telling me she cannot make my tea with an extra teaspoon of tea leaves to make it strong when I offered to pay extra, to the wait staff looking like the dazed and confused and dressed like they are picnicking in their backyard. Today was the final straw...... I approached the waitress and asked her for a table for two. She said that there was nothing available and she didn't know how long it would take. I asked her if I could have the table in the corner that was empty and she said "no that is the management table". When I asked what that meant, she said "it is for our staff if they want to sit down". Have they lost their senses??? Who turns away business, when there is an empty table but you want it left empty in case one of your staff want to sit down. Fine!!!! keep them all for your staff. No wonder you are where you are.

We've been customers for many years and love their chocolates...some of the best in Melbourne. This Salted Caramel sundae is sometimes outstanding but inconsistent. The left is from the website and the one on the right was ours. We had turned the ice cream over to find there was only the teeniest sprinkle of peanut brittle crumb instead of the usual chunks and crumb which adds soooo much. Completely depends on who makes them. Sometimes the caramel is microwaved so far that it's steaming as it was in our pic here. Still very nice but needs consistency
