Hickory Ridge Restaurant

Every staff member that we interacted with, was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the chopped sirloin and the honey fried chicken. Both were great! They make all of their sauces in-house, and the ones we tried were delicious! My mother enjoyed her chopped sirloin with a side of steamed broccoli (which was perfectly steamed) and a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw had really good flavor, but is a course chop slaw, which is great for on bbq sandwiches (and I totally plan on coming back to try that!) Finely chopped slaw is just easier to eat for my mother. My honey chicken was so yummy, I was almost 1/2 done when I remembered I had some honey bbq sauce to try with it! LOL I loved that it wasn’t encased in a thick layer of guilt-ladened breading. The fine crispy coating was just right ❤️ I also had the broccoli and onion rings. I think next time I will ask for the onion rings to be fried just a little lighter; they were almost overdone. Oh- and we had an order of their corn nuggets- also delicious! AND, one more thing, they brought us a couple of freshly baked biscuits with their homemade apple butter.

Added this restaurant to my 'Favorites' in Google Maps today. We had the Brisket and BBQ Chicken. Not too sweet, not too spicy, but LOTS of flavor. Friendly staff, and their Apple Butter changed both of our minds on what 'good' Apple Butter should be - in fact, we took a jar home. This restaurant has a very country décor which is applied cleanly and without random junk screwed into the wall. Loved it! Will return.

I had a wonderful experience!!!The waitress was super friendly and very Interactive. She went above and beyond. My son who is 2 loved her and even interacted with her, my husband and I were completely surprised, he is a very shy little boy. I can't say enough good things about our waitress, she wore a super hero apron. Thank you for such a wonderful experience my family and I will definitely be back. The food was good as well. It's much more of a home cooked country meal.

Had the Chesapeake Burger which was the daily special. Burger and fries were incredible! Burger had crab dip, an onion ring, and was served on a nice Martin potato roll. Fries reminded me of In 'n' Out which is huge. Price point is nice ($9.99 for meal and about a dollar more for refillable sweet tea). Good home cooked quality and nice customer service. Will go back soon.

Hickory Ridge catered an event for me of about 40 people. The food was delicious,warm and plentiful. The guests were all pleased with the meal. Particularly good was the honey chicken, macaroni and cheese and the fruit tray. It was a pleasure to do business with them and I would definitely call on them again! Thank You!

My family and I have been regulars here since we moved. I've tried so many things on their menu, their food is great. The staff has consistently been warm, welcoming and attentive; those we've gotten regularly recognize us and always say hello. The place is very clean as well. You can't really want for much more in a local restaurant.

My husband and I stopped here with our daughter today. I never knew this restaurant existed until today, so I thought it would be a nice place to try. It definitely exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and the service was great. My husband ordered honey fried chicken, I ordered ribs, and we got chocolate chip pancakes for our daughter. There was sooo much food, so next time I will definitely be ordering a smaller meal for me and my daughter. My husband, however, was comfortable with his portion. They also have some things for sale (Amish peanut butter, bbq sauce, candles, country/rustic decorations, etc.). We will definitely be back!
