Salad Meister

I cannot believe I am writing a review for this place... after only been there 2 times. But ordered 5 times already. Best salad I have ever had for a long time. First and foremost, it tastes awesome. 3 layer design? yeah... no kidding... I started my first order with Campus Cobb, which is quite safe bet since it was the most popular one. 3 layers. Then I moved to Asian Zing, it was better. Then Southern Spice, it was quite spicy but tastes as good. I just wish they publish their detailed nutrition info on myfitnesspal. I have a feeling a lot of those calorie value on the menu is far from accurate.

Ordered a Cobb salad, broccoli cheddar soup, and drink, and I was actually really full afterward, which didn't always happen at salad places. Salad tasted good, but I thought the broccoli overpowered the cheddar flavor in the soup. At about $15, it was a little more than I like to spend on lunch, but if the food is locally sourced and containers biodegradable as advertised, the prices seem reasonable.

This is my first two stars on google. We went to salad meister a lot, because we liked the taste and portion of their salad. What makes me giving this one star review is that they failed their second chance: their lettuce is gritty, avoid at all costs. The first time we found the lettuce was gritty was at the beginning of a summer semester, every single piece of it taste like sand. We thought it might be they forget to wash lettuce this time and since it’s summer at campus town not many students eat here so no one complained. A few weeks later we come to salad meister thinking the gritty lettuce was a one-time-thing, we were wrong: Their lecture still taste like eating sand... we’re so disappointed and will never come to this salad restaurant which can not even wash their vegetables properly ever again.

This is the BEST SALAD I have EVER had in my entire life. Seriously. Tonight my husband and I ordered carry out from this place, and we were SOOO impressed. I got the Market Fresh and he got the Campus Cobb. The best part about this place is that they have the BEST ratio of dressing to greens to goodies of any place I have ever been to. We ordered extra dressing, but didn't have to use it. Both of us were as full after dinner as we would be if we order a steak dinner from Longhorn. For $20, you can't find a better summer dinner! I love this place -- I probably eat here at least once a week. I like it more now too that I found out that it's a locally-owned business! Most of the time, I order the "build your own" option. I do like the "Pad Thai" special when they don't run out of the ingredients by the time I get there. I guess it's popular so that's a good thing.The portions are generous and truly filling. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. Keep up the quality, keep it fresh!

I ordered a build your own tomato wrap with spinach, arugula, corn, beans, tomato, red pepper, green onion, and chicken. Let me tell you this wrap was amazing! All of the ingredients are quality and they do not rip you off with the amount of ingredients they add. I also ordered an Asian zing salad for tonight which I’m super excited for.

This place is so incredibly delicious! Rob catered our wedding 4 years ago, and nothing was more fitting today for our Anniversary dinner then to give his new place a shot. And gosh, was it perfect! That is by far the best wrap and salad place in town! I had the Market Fresh salad and wow! Those strawberries just made the salad amazing! Thanks Rob!
