Casa Del Mar

We really liked this place. Food was delicious. Great Mexican environment, good music, perfect location by a small lake. Perfect for social distancing because it has indoors and outdoors space. Wait was very nice and welcoming. A couple of things we didn't like: there were several flies flying around us during our meal. In spite of having only a few customers the waiter seemed busy and never came to ask how we were doing. Out of all the Mexican restaurants in town this seems to be the most upscale

Used to be our sunday spot until we got the waiter chino! he was awful honestly & i hate to say that. he wasn’t understanding our order, he kept bringing out the wrong things. when we first came we had an amazing waiter & helpful one. chino acted as if he didn’t want to wait for us even then we asked for a new waiter & everyone was acting weird. food didn’t taste good! super upset about my cali fries as well! won’t return!

I wanted to like this restaurant more than I did. It's definitely standard Tex-Mex food, but with a better atmosphere. The views from the back windows and patio are great. The problem is that the food and service don't live up to the location's appeal. Pros: Salsa is decent Steak fajitas were well seasoned and delightfully charred Cons: Slow service and an unfriendly waiter Chips were not warm and bland Queso was too thin Margaritas were not very strong I think they'd rate closer to 3 or 3.5, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that we went on an off night. if you want great patio seating, come here, otherwise there are much better options.

The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and attentive. All of food was cooked properly, but unfortunately there was absolutely no seasoning on anything. The rice, bland. The chicken, bland. The beans, bland. The guacamole contained only avacado, no onion, tomato, or cilantro in sight. The shrimp fajitas tasted like nothing despite the peppers, onions, and shrimp being grilled to perfection. My partner summed it up perfectly after we left, "I need a pallet cleanser to get the mediocrity out of my mouth." There are so many fantastic Mexican food options in town, unfortunately Cass Del Mar is not among them.
