Like most Mexican restaurants, it's a fun time. There's always a birthday celebration going on as there was during our visit. And they do it up right at Don Pedro's. The food and service are very good and the guacamole they made at our table side was the best. Try them out for yourself, I think you'll like it as much as we did.

My family and I stopped here after a full day at Carowinds. It was very late (around 11:40pm) when we got there. We were told immediately that we needed to order quickly because the kitchen is closing at 12:00. No worries, we completely understand. Our table consisted of 14 people. We were seated immediately and all able to sit together. That was a HUGE plus and pretty rare honestly. We hurried up and placed our orders. Waitress and waiter or possibly the owner were very welcoming and had great attitudes. To be honest, were were not expecting much because of our late arrival and our rush to get our orders in, however we were extremely pleased with the result. Our food was extremely good! Portions are very large! Prices are a bit more than most of the other Mexican restaurants we go to, however I truly think you get what you pay for here. I am a bit of a food critic, but I have nothing negative to say here. This food was good and we all really enjoyed it. I would say the the only negative was the salsa. Our salsa was definitely fresh, however it was extremely salty. Salty to the point that I would not eat it. My wife mentioned this to the waiter and they immediately brought us out some fresh salsa and it was absolutely great! All in all, we had a great experience at this restaurant and will be glad to come back!

Came here with my frisbee team so we had a ton of people. Didn't even make a reservation but they accommodated us anyway. Stuff went super smoothly- the servers gave us seemingly endless chips and salsa and had us our food within very reasonable time. The food was good, not great, but very generous in terms of portions. The arroz con pollo was very filling and I left stuffed. Overall had a great experience!

Don Pedro Mexican Restaurant on South Tryon provided me with an absolutely fantastic experience. I must say, the food was absolutely delicious, and let me tell you, the margaritas were simply to die for. The appetizers provided an excellent beginning to our meal. Their karaoke nights on Fridays and Saturdays are an absolute blast, making it the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday party or simply have a great time with friends. Don Pedro is definitely a top choice for a memorable night out with friends and family. The food is great, the drinks are tasty, and there are plenty of fun entertainment options to keep everyone entertained.

I have been going to Don's for the last 6years and easily. Every meal has been wonderful. The service has been excellent and the drinks have been perfect. There are many options in Charlotte for Mexican food but this is the only one I will even consider first. All the rest are secondary. A huge shout out to the ownership for making us always feel welcome when we show up on date night. This will always be our number one.
