Two Scoops Creamery Plaza Midwood

After a dinner in the Plaza Midwood area we happened to pass Two Scoops on the way back to our car and took the opportunity to stop in and get some ice cream. What a great idea. The place was busy but that didn't stop the servers from quickly taking our order. We were in and out in about ten minutes and as busy as it was I was surprised by that. It's a small sitting area and most of the room is filled with people in line for orders but a great grab and go spot but some great art to look at while you wait. The ice cream was really good. There are numerous flavors that rotate but everything i tried was really good. There are actual chunks of cookies and cake and candy in the different flavors which stood out to me the most. To me that's what separates home made from store bought.

4/5 stars for Two Scoops in Plaza Midwood; taking away a star because it’s not THE best icecream in Charlotte. We got the butter pecan and chocolate fudge brownie flavours. They tasted like a lot of love had gone into making them, which is how icecream should be. I wish the patrons of this place were a little kinder, a white lady customer stared at me disgustingly as I was taking a photo of the menu there. Ugly. The art on the walls outside is cool, and some parking spaces are available, which can fill quickly. Seating is available both outside and inside. It was a decent experience overall.

First let me say we prefer to frequent small, niche locally owned establishments with good eats. The flavors are exquisitely unique, names creative and service on par with the quality of the treat. The location on Midwood was easily accessible from the road and there a neat area out from to taste every note.

We chose to do ice cream instead of a cake for our wedding and our guests absolutely LOVED it! Jen and her team at Two Scoops were fantastic to work with, and the ice cream is unbelievably delicious. They served the ice cream from an adorable ice cream cart with a personalized menu. Our guests loved the flavors and took lots of photos with the cart and their cute ice cream cups. We also enjoyed picking the menu out (and trying all the amazing flavors). One really nice thing about Two Scoops is that the ice cream is so flavorful that you really don’t need any toppings or extra’s. We really enjoyed working with Jen and her team – they made the process so easy and fun, and Jen provided great recommendations on popular flavors. The Two Scoops team remembered my husband’s and my favorite ice cream flavors and brought it over to us during the reception. We were very touched with their thoughtfulness! Two Scoops has the best ice cream in Charlotte and if you’re wondering what to do for dessert for your wedding (or anytime for that matter)…book them!!!
