One of my favorite spots in all of Charlotte. They actually have good pizza here, which is saying something for how many overpriced overrated pizza joints there are around town. The crust is fantastic and I recommend the meat lovers. The liquor is amazing too. Rua Gold and Quinns are some of the best whiskey you will dind in Charlotte and they have a fantastic selection of cocktails and super friendly bartenders. Great service and a nice chill atmosphere as well. Since they are a distillery they are allowed to sell liquor bottles on the weekend as well, which is a nice bonus.

Great place near NoDa with their local whisky (Rua and Quinn), good cocktails, decent beers and food. They have good outdoor parking space too considering the NoDa area. My only suggestion: make “The Broken Spoke” name clear as it is confusing to see Great Wagon Distillery name when one arrives.

With lovely holiday ambience and fancy cocktails in a clean, older-style building, this place has some serious charm. Didn't sample the food this time but will be back.

This place is fantastic! I missed the chance of going when it was located down near Sugar Creek Brewing and Queen City Social so I am so glad I found this location while searching for good drinks! My friend and I went on a Tuesday night and I believe our bartenders name was Emily, who was also wonderful and patient with us as we stared at their impressive drink selection for probably too long. She even offered to whip up a mocktail for my friend! We ended up choosing the lavender lemonade, a peach whiskey sour, and the key lime mule. The mule was probably one of the best drinks I’ve ever had! Will be back for that drink alone and the friendly staff. They had music trivia that night and the host was fun and kept the crowd laughing! The outdoor patio is gorgeous, plenty of parking was available and the food was delicious! While the pickle pizza wouldn’t hold up to Rhino’s in New York - it came in at a close second! The pretzels and beer cheese were next level!! TLDR; fun drinks, friendly staff, phenomenal food - go try them out yourself!

Very cool place! The drinks are fancy and fun, very well-thought out and well-executed. We got the Irish Remedy (hot) ($9), Key Lime Mule ($9), Grapefruit Mule ($9), and Quinn’s Carolina Whiskey ($8). All were really great. The bartender described the Key Lime Mule as liquid key lime pie, and he was completely right. It was soo good. The Grapefruit Mule was good, and not overwhelmingly grapefruit-y. Apparently they’re closing and trying to find another location. I hope they find a place soon, because we’d love to go back!

Great experience. This is a distillery with very talented bartenders. Do yourself a favor and order one of the great drinks made from their sprits, leave the beer for when you visit the nearby breweries. Cozy interior, and check out the upstairs bar if it's open. We only had a snack, but they do offer a full menu. I really enjoyed the flight and ability to try the vodka, and moonshines.

Definitely worth a visit! We stopped in for a bite before visiting some nearby breweries and were amazed by experience. First of all it was the best service i've received in a very long time. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. He walked us through the spirits made at the distillery since it was our first visit and being scotch lovers he steered us towards the Rua whiskey. It was perfect. We both received a generous neat pour with a water back just how we like it. The Rua whiskey tasted great and it makes sense why it is generating so much buzz and winning so many awards. It seems like it falls somewhere in between a good scotch and bourbon. Smooth and easy to drink with a nice barrel aged flavor that has a slight smokiness often found on good scotch but with a bit of spiciness and a finish of sweetness with vanilla notes that scream bourbon. It even mixes well as we found out when we ordered our second round consisting of a Manhattan and a Rua for the Cure. Lastly the food was no letdown either. We shared a charcuterie board and a bologna sandwich and both were exquisite. You could tell that someone spent some time marrying the flavors we found in both dishes and they did a great job. Overall we left thrilled to know we have such a great local whiskey and a new go to establishment to enjoy both the drinks and the food.

Great cocktails and great food! We got the Broken Spoke cocktail (similar to an old fashioned) and it was one of my favorite cocktails. The single large ice cube it is served with is a nice touch. We also got the duck crostini and the sausage rolls were were absolutely delicious. The drinks are pricey, but they are definitely worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back to sample more cocktails and appetizers! There were many more that I was interested in trying.

Relaxed old time atmosphere, excellent service and great cocktails. The grapefruit mule was crisp, carbonated and refreshing. Ask to take a tour if you want to purchase their whiskey or vodka as a "souvenir." I recommend you check the Broken Spoke out and take a break from the crowded neighboring breweries. They have local beer on tap so if you have someone in your group that's not big on liquor drinks they can get a beer or even a french pressed coffee.
