Hours are limited so pay attention. Ingredients are extremely fresh and delicious. It's not Kosher - I wish they would just not serve Pork and/or Shellfish period - Who the heck needs that junk. Anyways, disappointed that they don't serve Hard Salami. Nevertheless, Pastrami was tasty and juice and served on delicious fresh seedless rye bread all the way from Rockland Bakery. Pickles were garlicky and delicious. Service was quick and friendly - they made it their business to get to know me. Friendly crowd that seemed to be amused by my banter with the Owner, Lee - who is truly a "Mensch" - Will definitely be returning. Really enjoyed my visit! Full selection of Dr. Brown's Sodas - Greatly enjoyed my visit! Thank You Lee!

Food is amazing!!! It's the real deal. Enjoyed the open face Reuben, had both the in-house knish and the NY Style..loved them both. We arrived early at 11:45 on a Saturday and the order was quick and we found a place to sit, when we were leaving it was very crowded...there was a line out the door. The food is worth it- we also got a few sandwiches to go. There are no fountain drinks, but a good selection of cold canned drinks.

One of the absolute best Reubens I have EVER eaten. Of course all the best ones were in original delis. So glad there is a NY style deli in south Charlotte. Been a long time since we had one around here. Can't wait to try other items on the menu. Already thinking about the stuffed cabbage. Thanks guys! Keep up the awesome work!!

Hi Lee.....my husband and I met you yesterday....we're from Bergen County, NJ. Just letting you know our sandwiches were out of this world....the knishes were beyond scrumptious.....the pickles and Dr. Brown's Black Cherry completed a delicious meal. It was great meeting and chatting with you.....my hubby ate the whitefish salad on a delicious bagel that we also bought😉

I enjoyed the Reuben, which was made with nicely sliced corned beef, but the bread was a little disappointing (thin). There was also not as much meat on the sandwich as with most Jewish delis. Provisions in Waxhaw still has the best Reuben in North Carolina in my opinion. My wife really enjoyed the cheese blintzes. $33 for two people.

Today I stopped in for a sable sandwich. Beautiful fish, excellent taste, silky texture. Prepared and served by three very kind people behind the counter. At a table near me, a couple of guys who appeared to work there had stopped by on their off-day for lunch. That tells me something about the quality of the menu! My lunch was so enjoyable that I ordered a pound of whitefish salad to take home. (And by the way, it is LIGHTS OUT good!) Thanks, Katz Deli. You'll see me again!

I was craving a pastrami on rye and decided to Google some places where I could get an authentic sandwich. Katz Deli popped up and I got excited but it was going to take me a little over half an hour to get there but I felt like it would be worth it and it really was. I ordered a pastrami on rye with Swiss cheese and mustard on the side and a sour pickle. For my side, I got the fresh fruit and also a half pound of macaroni salad. I finally made it back home to enjoy my food. I bit into my sandwich and it was pure heaven. The bread was soft and the pastrami was like butter. The fruit was also fresh and yummy. Had I known that it was going to be that good I would gotten a half pound or more. Also, I couldn't enough of the macaroni salad. It was perfect with just the right ratio of mayo to macaroni. I'm a native New Yorker and the food I ate today felt just like home. I even called the deli to thank them and to give them a very deserving compliment. Whether you're a native New Yorker or not, this place is legit and you have to try it out because it certainly was worth the thirty plus minute drive to get there. 😊😊😊😊😊

New York/New Jersey style deli with great food, customer service, and prices! We came here twice during my 4 day vacation because we loved it so much. My wife, baby daughter, and I had breakfast the first time we went there. When received our order we couldn’t believe at how much food we were getting for the price we paid. The plates were filled to the sides, absolutely delicious, and all at a reasonable price! We left full, happy, and wanting to come back for lunch. Two days went by and we decided it was time to visit again and try the sandwiches. When we entered, the sweet lady at the cash register remembered us and greeted us with a “welcome back!” Most likely because of our daughter who was on her best behavior, but nonetheless, to us, that recognition is a big deal and goes a long way. We ordered 3 sandwiches to go, brought them home and were once again extremely pleased. Even my father (who grew up in New Jersey) said “wow that’s some good pastrami!” And said he would definitely be making a trip there. Totally worth it! Especially if you grew up/lived in the New York/Jersey area, you will feel right at home! Best of luck Katz Deli! We will be back next time we are in town!
